Chapter 3 :The Interview

After a week, Lea hasn’t seen Leon. She was in her office when she decided to call his company to speak to him. Unfortunately, she couldn’t get hold of him because he was out of the office. Leon had gone to Cape Town to see his daddy who had come back from England. She was disappointed but noticed that there was a vacancy in the company. She applied for the position with her intelligence and determination, she was bound to be hired.

Brandon has been busy with Exquisite Diamond Property’s new project. They were hardly together with Lea. She never told him anything about Leon when she received a cold shoulder from him. Her mind was made up to go and find Leon and get to know him more. She always gave herself more work to concentrate, but lately, she was not productive, nor was she receiving enough sleep. Lea decided to go to a club alone.

At the club, Lea was sitting in a corner, drinking, and looking at the couple next to her. They were intimate and having fun. She wished she had someone to love her like that, but ever since the betrayal, she never tried to give it a chance until she bumped into Leon. She started seeing herself on Leon’s chest, chilling in her mansion. She was daydreaming about Leon opening the door for her while she was pregnant with her child. The wedding was lavish; it was a Paris winter theme. She was walking down the aisle when someone tapped Lea. “Hey gorgeous, can I join you? You have been sitting here alone for almost an hour.” That's when Lea was brought back to reality, seeing herself sitting there alone was sad enough. She was drunk and ready to leave when the man dragged her hand. “I was talking to you, beautiful lady. Can we go to my place? I can give you all the fun you want.” Lea forcefully let herself flip to the air, hitting the man’s nose. "I didn't ask to be courted, and please leave me alone."

Lea left, trying to walk as fast as she could, but the man followed her. She tried calling a cab, but the man grabbed her again, pulling her towards where his car was. But the next moment, there was a beautiful lady standing in front of the man. “Let her go, because I will embarrass you in front of these people, and you would never set foot in this club again.” The man became furious and slapped the lady. “Avyanna, what's happening? Dude, you hit my sister.” Avyanna kicked the man strongly, causing him to start screaming and holding his private parts. Diego dragged the man with his hand on the floor. Lea couldn’t believe what was happening, but she became sober. “I am sorry, that man has been bothering me, and you have saved my life.”

“Are you in the club alone? Where are your friends, siblings, or even your boyfriend? You can’t be out alone; this club has a lot of predators. I am Avyanna, and that is my brother, Diego.” Lea looked at Diego, who was not bad looking, but his aura gave him a dangerous vibe.

"I am Lea, my friend is busy lately. I can't get hold of my boyfriend, so I decided to come clear my head here."

"Oh, sorry, he must be a douche to disappear without letting you know. You can join us; we are celebrating my brother and his farewell."

"Thank you, but I think I need to head home. It was too much for today. Again, thank you for saving my life. Hope to meet you again." Avyanna decided to accompany Lea to catch a cab. She ensured that she was safe.

Lea received her interview appointment at the Langley Co-operation. She got excited that her plan was coming to life. She was hoping that if she gets to be interviewed by Leon, there are high chances of getting the job, but he wasn't back yet from Cape Town.

It was the day of the interview. Lea decided to drive her Mercedes Benz. She was wearing a navy blue suit with black stilettos. At the reception, Lea was telling the lady that she was here for an interview when Shanice walked in. “Leon is not here, so don't bother yourself. He won't take any fancy to you,” Shanice said rudely, not even knowing why Lea was there. “Hey, ma'am, I am not here for your man but for the interview with Triana Hill,” Lea responded. Shanice knew Triana was looking for a new manager, and she had been waiting for Leon to have the position, but Leon had been busy. The receptionist was calling Triana to inform her when Shanice dropped the phone. “She is not allowed to work here,” Shanice said angrily. “Why, Shanice? Is it because she is more beautiful and smart than you, who thinks of getting things on a silver platter because your boyfriend is the CEO?” Avyanna appeared from behind, wearing a nice outfit.

"Hi, you are Lea, the girl whom we met the other night at the club. It's nice to know you were home safe. I will take you to Triana myself." Lea was so happy to see a familiar face. "Thank you, Avyanna, right? It's not my first time meeting Shanice. Is she always this rude?"

Avyanna was laughing, "She thinks when Leon marries her, she will be the deputy president of the company, but I don't see any marriage happening. She is a b***h and a useless consultant." Lea started laughing.
