Chapter 11: Leon discovers the truth

Lea landed at OR Tambo with Brandon and Avyanna waiting for her. She didn’t have a choice but to go to Brandon’s place. She had sold her apartment in the last two days. She could reveal who she was to Avyanna, and that secret weighed on her. She never expected to come back with Brandon and Avyanna being friends. Avyanna was excited to see Lea back, but she had to be back at the office before her lunch was over. They hugged. "Lea, why would you disappear on us like that? We were worried sick about you." Lea didn’t even plan the trip; she decided to leave, inviting Brandon, and she ended up staying a bit longer. Avyanna went back to the office, the first thing she wanted was to tell Triana. She was so eager to tell that when she knocked on Triana’s office, she responded, and the first thing she said was loud, "Triana, Lea is back, she has been in Australia." She wanted to say where she lives but noticed that Leon was around.

"Leon, the day you asked for Lea’s address, what happened? Because when I arrived, you were leaving." Triana looked at Leon, “Do you mean it was the weekend before she quit? What did you do because you were never going to try to embarrass her when there was nothing.” Leon had to confess what happened. "I kissed her after she tried several times to chase me away at her apartment, I was lost in the moment." Avyanna knew there was more to the story than a kiss. "But why would she chase you away when she likes you, Leon? Lea told me how she feels about you. Unfortunately, she is staying with Brandon."

“She told me that her boyfriend was coming over, I need to go. What happened on Monday wasn't supposed to happen. I have been trying to apologize, but I didn’t know she traveled, who is in Australia.” Triana and Avyanna watched Leon speak, hoping he will tell them if he loves Lea, but he never wanted them to find out about how he feels, especially Avyanna, who could ruin their relationship with Shanice.

"Lea was born here but her daddy is from Australia. When I was trying to look for Brandon or anything that could help me find them, there was nothing on Lea. She is White, but Brandon works in the biggest company in Africa, and the President is unknown.

“Uncle Nathan, White!!! It is not possible,” Leon was thinking aloud when he called his daddy Uncle.”

Lea had gone shopping with Eleanor when she bumped into Shanice. She was excited when Lea quit work, but she didn’t know who Lea was. “The famous Miss Lea who thought she would be loved by everyone, but her plan failed. How does it feel to be unemployed?” Eleanor was shocked, "Lea, who is she?" Lea laughed. “She is trying to be relevant, thinking everyone has to depend on her CEO boyfriend.” She was still speaking when Leon was calling her. “Mr. Leon Langley, what can I help you with today? Your girlfriend is being a nuisance here, and now it's you.”

Lea didn’t know that Leon was about to reveal one of her secrets. “Uncle Nathan said hi, then tell me, how is your father, my Godfather, the daughter of the famous Mr. Senior Liam White, a liar, what more did you lie about.” Lea was shocked. How did Leon find out? She ended the call without even denying it. “That was your boyfriend telling me he has feelings for me, yet you are here busy insulting me.” Lea left the shop with Eleanor.

Shanice was hurt and embarrassed that she left the shopping and went straight to the office to look for Leon. Lea was not scared of lying, but she knew Leon would find out everything soon. She went back to the office.

Leon decided to call his daddy to find out the truth about Lea. His daddy’s phone was ringing, he was losing patience when he finally answered. “Hey Daddy, how are you and mom?” “Hey, Leo, we are good, what's wrong?”

Leon was nervous to ask, but he needed to know the truth. “Daddy, I want to ask you something. Does my Godfather, Mr. White, have a daughter named Lea Candice White who is in South Africa?” Nathan was shocked at how Leon found out about Lea because her identity was meant to be a secret. “Yes, but sonny, her identity is not supposed to be known by a lot of people. Lea is the President of Exquisite Studio; she owns two companies with her best friend, Brandon. How do you know her?” Leon couldn't understand what his daddy said. “Daddy, you mean she is the millionaire who is about to open another branch in Cape Town? It was on the news that Exquisite is planning to have another branch. Lea is not a common CEO of Exquisite, daddy. She disguised herself as nobody and started working at Langley but quit a few weeks back after we had an encounter.” Shanice had been listening to Leon’s conversation with his daddy, and she was shocked by the discovery of Lea.

"Leon, whatever happened between the two of you, Lea’s identity must not be known by anyone else, and I hope this conversation would not be discussed any further. Bye son." Leon ended the call with his father not knowing what to do with the whole information; he was disturbed by Shanice. "Lea is the CEO of Exquisite. Is it the reason you told her you are in love with her because she has money, Leon? What about us?" Shanice shouted more until Triana came in. "What is it with the noise, Shanice? This is not a club; we are working." Triana didn’t want to know what happened and she wasn’t interested. Leon left without saying a word, leaving Shanice and Triana in his office.
