Chapter 12: The Expose of the President

Leon arrived at Exquisite Studio hoping to find Lea, but he was met by Brandon. “Good day, I am looking for Lea Candice White,” he said to the receptionist. “Hi, Leon, I will take you to Lea’s office. I am Brandon,” Brandon replied. Brandon was coming from a meeting and didn’t know that Leon knew everything. “Were you part of Lea’s disguise? Why did she lie about being unemployed?” Brandon was caught off guard and didn’t know what to say, so he kept quiet. As they walked out of the lift, Brandon couldn’t warn Lea, but he was leading Leon to her office.

Brandon knocked, something he had never done before. Lea agreed, as she was on the phone with her father. Lea wasn’t surprised to see Leon, but she wondered why he came with Brandon. She bid goodbye to her father to deal with Leon. “Mr. Leon Langley, the godson of my father, what more do you want to know when your Uncle Nathan told you everything?”

Brandon excused himself and went to his office. “Why did you lie and act like you needed a job, what were your intentions joining Langley group, Lea?” Lea was looking at Leon, who was fuming with anger. “I told you, but you were a douche about it. Anything else, and I hope you keep the promise of keeping my identity a secret.” Lea was calm and smiling. “Trust me, I wouldn’t disrespect your dad, but why did you lie to me if you liked me, Lea?” She couldn’t even explain why she chose to lie, but at this moment, she wanted to make things right with Leon. “I am sorry, Leon. Can we go to my place? I will explain everything to you. It is not safe here. Let's go.”

They left the Exquisite for Lea’s mansion. Leon couldn’t believe that Lea went as far as buying an apartment while she had the whole mansion.

“Welcome to my home, that apartment was to remain the person everyone believed who I was. I liked you from the day I set my eyes on you at the supermarket, but when I found out you had a girlfriend, I had to be close to know you. I was hurt when you tried to embarrass me. I had to quit to see if you felt the same about me.” Leon was listening to Lea explain when his phone started ringing; it was Shanice, but he ended the call. Lea and Leon spent the first night together. Lea was telling Leon about her childhood and her dreams, how she got to achieve them. Lea woke up to Brandon in her house because he had been trying to call her, but her phone had been off, same with Leon. Brandon was trying to understand how Lea’s identity was leaked. He had to drive to Lea’s place early in the morning. Lea had been sleeping when Brandon walked in; he didn’t expect to see Leon with Lea in the same bed, but it was important for him to let Lea know. Lea was shocked to see Brandon in her bedroom.

"Brandon, why are you in my bedroom so early in the morning? Couldn't whatever happened wait?" Brandon was sweating and scared for Lea. Leon woke up not knowing how much access Brandon had in Lea’s life. "You are trending in all the media. The CEO of Exquisite Studio, Lea Candice White, has snatched someone’s man. That's not all. Lea Candice White is known as the daughter of the billionaire Senior Liam White, a notorious man who disarmed a powerful gang in the past. The interesting part, Leon Langley is having an affair with the President of Exquisite Studio." Lea is going to wake up because this is messed up. Lea was shocked by what they said about her father. She switched on her phone to see missed calls from Triana, Avyanna, and Eleanor. She didn’t know whom to call first, so she looked at Leon, who just found out about her identity.

"Leon, who did you tell about my identity? If you find out and the whole world finds out, what have you done, Leon? You're ruining my life," Lea was really hurt. "Lea, I don't know who leaked this information. I swear I didn't tell anyone; my dad warned me about it," Leon said as he hopped out of bed to wash his face. "I will sort this out, Lea." Brandon had been receiving calls from Avyanna, but he didn’t answer any of them. "Leon, I want you out of my life and my house now. You have betrayed me and my family. I know you told your girlfriend about this, hoping she will keep it a secret." After Lea said that, Leon was also thinking it might be Shanice who leaked the information, but how did she find out?

Leon left, passed by his house to change, and drove straight to the office. He was furious and fuming with anger. He passed by the consultant's office to call Shanice, who had been bragging about how she would get married to Leon after this drama, not knowing that she had put Leon’s life in danger.

"Shanice, in my office now." She was frightened. He passed by Triana’s office. "I need you in my office at this moment, sis."

The moment he walked into his office, he looked at Shanice with disgust and anger. "Between you and me, it's over. You are fired from this office. I don't ever want to see your face in this building or anywhere near my life. You have put Lea’s life in danger and caused trouble with my daddy." Leon held Shanice by the neck. "If I don't kill you with my bare hands, someone will." A slap rang out on both of Shanice’s cheeks. She was crying, asking for mercy, not knowing that this was not a passing phase but that it was over.

"Leon, what happened?" Triana asked. Lea is the CEO of Exquisite, but due to family confidentiality, it was supposed to be kept secret. She sneaked in while I was talking to my daddy, and she leaked the information to get revenge on Lea." Triana was puzzled.
