Dark. Impenetrable dark. The only thing propelling me forward was the unbelievable pull of the pure energy that had me deep within its grasp.
I couldn’t look away.
I couldn’t pull away.
I didn’t want to. I had never seen or felt anything like it before. My tunnel vision was so strongly fixated on this man that I didn't even notice the train.
By the time the blaring horn got my attention, it was too late. It didn’t hit me head on, but instead it clipped my right side, immediately breaking every bone that it came in contact with. The force threw me about 100 feet forward, but that wasn't even the worst part. I never lost consciousness. I felt every bone break, shattering down to my very essence. Every blood vessel bust, blood seeping out of every tear available in my skin, and my lungs and heart vehemently working in a fleeting attempt to keep me alive.
As my eyes so weakly fluttered open, the last thing I remember seeing was the beautiful blue of the day time sky. Ironic, the beauty of death. As I felt the life leaving my body, I felt a comforting presence of a….what is that? Female energy? A very heavy hand resting upon my shoulder was the last thing that I remembered before I passed out.
It was the sound of the gentle flow of rushing water that guided me back to consciousness. My heavy eyelids slowly began to open, and parallel to me, I see the source of the water about 2 feet from my face.
I was on an embankment.
A river embankment. I was afraid to move for fear of the pain I so heavily experienced only a short moment ago, but this river was beckoning to me, almost demanding my touch.
I knew this energy radiating from the river, I felt it before, but where from? That's it! This was the energy I was chasing before I got hit! But why? Better yet, where am i? Something in that moment just told me to touch the water as it beckoned me with a demanding force. I slowly slid my arm up my side and into the river’s gentle flow. The sensation was exhilarating! My body immediately felt alive, awake, and aware. I shot up quickly and looked down at my hand that was submerged.
That had to be the craziest energy surge that I had ever experienced. I slowed my heart rate a little, then I looked down to check my right side that took the blunt of the train's impact. Nothing. Nothing was damaged. Everything was intact. That can't be. I scurried over to the waters edge to take a look at my reflection.
Staring back at me was a beautiful monster. It was me alright, fierce as always, but my features were perfectly accented. My hair was in beautiful waves down my back, my skin was straight flawless, my full lips were stained a gorgeous red, but my eyes...I had never seen my eyes this color before. They were the deepest shade of crimson I had ever seen.
It was as if they were bottomless and looked back at me with a fierceness that was foreign. I had to force myself away from my reflection long enough to attempt to collect my thoughts.
Was the train wreck just a bad dream? Am I still in this dream? I pulled myself up to my feet, then I was hit with that all too familiar intuition as my hair stood up on the back of my neck, someone was very near.
“I imagine after that little display by the river bank that you feel much better, yes?” The strange man said. I snapped around quickly so as to not have my back to him, I learned quickly in Brazil how that could end badly.
“Who are you? Were you watching me?” The f**k? What a creep….
“It is my job to see everything, so yes technically I was watching you. My name is Aksal. I welcome all the new angels here. We have been waiting for you Catylena.” I know for a fact that my face said what i was thinking. I could feel it.
“Angels? Are you f*****g kidding me right now? What kind of crack den did I stumble into?”
“My word, they said that you were vulgar in your past life. And no, this isn’t one of your weekend escapades. You'll never have to worry about those again because that train that you froliked in front of ended your life. Welcome to Heaven.” Aksal said facetiously.
“Yea, okay whatev-” and then it hit me. It was so loud. Screaming static noise. I could no longer read the energies around me. The immediate shift in atmosphere almost made me nauseous. Aksal’s aura was now blurry. Auras have never been blurry. What is going on here? I rubbed my temples as they began to throb.
“Are you okay, child?” Aksal asked, seemingly concerned.
“Yeah, I'm fine. I think I just got up a little too quickly or something, i’m good.”
“Well then, if you are mobile, then follow me and i will show you where you are staying.”
I obliged because well, what other choice did I have? As I began to follow Aksal, I tried to take in as much as I could. I knew from the moment that the train hit me that I was as good as dead, so I didn't doubt that, but it was the angels that were just so unnerving.
They were all blurry fuzz balls of different color. Imagine the glow of christmas lights as it fades away to the next scene in the adorable hallmark movies. And oh my god, the static. The energy is just screaming here, like a night of hardcore psychedelics mixed with getting your eyes dilated. I felt out of balance with the universe. So i didnt become overwhelmed, I attempted to focus on Aksal until we reached our destination.
He brought me to this marble building with purple accents and that is about as much as I could make out. The pounding in my head was milliseconds away from unbearable.
“Your room is here, the second door on the right. Go ahead, open it.” Aksal said.
“Uhh...there isn't a door knob.” I said obviously.
“Place your palm on it. It will dissipate.” Aksal said. I did and it did.
“Hmm, that's pretty cool.” I said partially dumbfounded at the magic of a door.
“It will reform once you are completely inside. Get some rest. I will come grab you in the morning so you can meet the others.” He turned his back to me, gave me a slight nod, then disappeared.
Did I see what I thought I just saw? Right before he was completely gone, his aura shifted ever so slightly. Even though I couldn't see clearly, far from it, the colors remained. No, I wasn't mistaken. His yellow aura gave way for an inkling of time to a small cloud of black. Weird, whatever, not my problem.
As I made my way to my bed, exhaustion hit me, well, like a freight train. I don't even have any idea if I made it to the bed because I blacked out
