Jacob Trajano got out of bed after having a long nightmare. He instantly looked for his phone and called Ruth's number.
He rubbed his temples, face-palmed, and sobbed a little. It took a while before Ruth finally answered the call.
"Babe, where are you?" he asked in a hoarse voice, trembling.
"Hey, babe. I'm at school today. Why? Is there anything wrong? Are you okay?" she asked on the other line.
He sighed in relief. "I'll come and fetch you there. I wanna see you..."
Ruth's giggling voice echoed over the phone. "Now, you seemed too clingy these days. What happened? Would you mind telling me?"
"No, it's just... I missed you..."
"Aw. I miss you, too, babe. I'll wait for you here. It's almost lunch. Where do you want to go today?"
"Just right beside you..."
