Daphne hissed as she packed a few clothes she was going to need in Davedswood, it had been five years already since she left Davedswood, it was tough at first but she eventually got it right and just when she was enjoying the human realm, they kidnapped her babies.
Her anger slowly dissolved as she remembered that her babies were missing, and a single tear rolled out of her eyes. They were innocent. "My babies know nothing." She sobbed and Beaula rubbed her back.
"We are going to see them." Her voice came out slowly and she felt it was her fault. If she had been with the kids earlier, they wouldn't have been kidnapped but she needs to be strong for Daphne.
Daphne dropped the gown she was holding into her luggage box before turning to Beaula. "Are you sure? They are everything to me, I have no one except them." She sniffed, wiping away the tears that threatened to leave her eyes.
Beaula placed her hand on her shoulder "Of course, we are going to find them, no one is going to hurt those cuties." She assured and Daphne was forced to smile as some of the beautiful memories came to her but it was short-lived when she remembered that she might never experience that anymore.
She sighed and then turned to her luggage box. "If I don't act now, those memories might end there." She dragged her bag down from the bed.
"Did you really want to do these? The police are going to find them."
Daphne scoffed, "Like I have any choice." She sighed then turned to her. "He couldn't do anything to me again." She assured and Beaula laughed.
"That's the spirit." She patted her back and helped her with the luggage box outside.
She got into her car after dropping her box in the back seat.
Beaula wiped away her tears before they could roll down her cheeks. She was going to miss Daphne so much, she had grown to love her and the triplet, and now, she was leaving. She'd even doubt if she'll be back here again."Bye, take care of yourself." Her voice broke as she couldn't hold it in anymore.
Daphne smiled with tears in her eyes but she didn't want to release them because she wouldn't be able to stop herself.
"I will." She assured before flooring the car and drove out of the compound. Her tears fell freely from her cheeks and she didn't bother cleaning it.
She had sworn never to return to Davedswood after everything she went through from the people that she called her own. Xander Ark betrayed her, he hurt her so much and she promised herself that she was not going to tell him about her children because they belonged to her, not his.
Her heart skipped as she slammed the break suddenly, the tire screeched before finally pulling to a stop.
She was going to Xander Ark without proper thinking at all, Xander Ark could decide to take the triplet away from her after they found them.
Her heart shook against the staring as she gritted her teeth together, Xander Ark was selfish and remorseful, and yet she was very stupid to think that he was the next person who could help her.
"Oh my." She cried slamming her head on the steering, the pain was nothing compared to what she was feeling in her heart. She was in the middle right now; she was at a crossroads presently. Whether to turn back and rely on the police or go to Xander Ark.
Eventually, she knew she had no choice but to leave for him. She sat up straight and sniffed then reared the car back to life.
She drove gently to Davedswood because she did not want to ever get there but she wished because she eventually got the big billboard that had Davedswood written on it boldly in blank ink.
She drove inside and was amazed at the changes in Davedswood, she was not expecting these many changes.
The old sandy roads that were filled with potholes of different sizes were now filled and the sandy roads were now tarred.
The old ugly-looking were rebuilt into modern houses, they were painted and looked so beautiful now. For some minutes; she was so carried away by the beauty that she forgot the reason she was here.
The hatred for this place returned almost immediately and she hissed before driving away. Her thought was to leave for the palace and demand for Xander Ark.
She wondered if anyone was going to remember her at all and if she would be glad that they all forgot her because she was not ready to face these people again.
She suddenly stepped on the brake seeing a lot of people standing at the roadside. She got out of the car, she roamed her eyes through the people trying to figure out what was happening.
She sighed after she didn't get it, she should have entered her car and left for the palace but it was as if something was pulling her towards them.
She crossed to their side and was about to turn away when she sighted a familiar figure.
Her mouth dropped apart as she stared at the familiar back figure, her heart palpitating loudly in her chest. His broad back stared at her and she heard him give orders like always.
Her breath came out slowly as she staggered backward, he was the one. She could never forget that voice.
"Xander Ark," She called and they all turned to her wondering who was bold enough to call their Alpha without adding respect to it.
Xander Ark turned to the intruder and was about to snap at the person for calling him his name without any title.
His eyes bulged out as his jaw was apart as he stared at Daphne.
"Daphne." He shuttered pointing at her shockingly.
"Yes."
"What are you doing here?" He ordered In his Alpha's voice.
