Chapter Seven

"What are you doing here?" Xander Ark demanded stepping out from the crowd.
He can't do anything for you. She chanted mentally before turning to him. "I'm here for you." She replied boldly and loud gasps followed her answer.
The crowd gasped and the peaceful silence turned to chaos immediately, there was muttering and whispering among the crowd. She removed her gaze from Xander Ark who was still shocked from her outburst. She peeked behind him and saw that they were trying to build a shopping mall where they stood.
"What?" Xander's harsh voice snapped her out of the daze she was in. She returned her gaze to him and she gasped stepping back.
His eyes were turning black as his claws elongated. "I'm... I'm." She stuttered regretting why she was here in the first place.
Before she knew it, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her away from the crowd. "What are you doing?" Daphne cried yanking her wrist from him but he tightened his hold on her.
He snatched his passenger seat open and pushed her in, Daphne cried as she struggled not to fall to the car floor. He slammed the door closed and entered after her.
"What are you doing here?" He demanded glaring at her.
"Can you calm down, first?" She snapped slamming the car hood before exhaling softly to calm herself down.
Xander Ark was equally shocked at her outburst, he stared at her with his eyes bulged out. Daphne had never shouted at him on any occasion years ago. It was like a torn in his flesh seeing her reacting to him like that.
"I'm here because of something important." She replied gently and sighed not knowing what to say anymore.
Xander Ark was silence, his silence stretched so long in the car that she shifted uncomfortably under his gaze.
She had really changed from the Daphne she knew, her skin was now glowing unlike when she was his maid. Her hair was glossing and he swallowed his lump when she pushed her hair away from her neck. His eyes glinted seeing her beautiful long neck.
"Say something, please." Daphne's voice came out as a plead pulling Xander's out of his thought.
He sat up straight and turned on the ignition. "Let's go to the palace." He said driving away but Daphne yelled and he quickly pulled to stop.
He swirled his head back stunned and panicked. "What?" He asked hiding the panic in his voice.
"My car, I left my car and my properties are in there." She said and Xander heaved a sighed of relief.
"It would be brought back to the palace." He answered before driving away.
Daphne's heart palpitated loudly in the car, she felt suffocated just sitting at his side alone, she sighed before pushing her head a bit out of the window.
She closed her eyes as a cool breeze blew through her hair and smiled. This was definitely what she needed.
Xander Ark found it difficult to control his gaze on her, she innocently removed her head from the window enjoying the cold breeze but it was affecting her. She wore a black gown that stopped above her knees and had a low back. The dress riled up from her lap and her thick fresh thighs were staring at him, it made him remember when he had s*x with her five years ago.
"Nope, don't think about that." He muttered himself and Daphne glanced at him. He quickly removed his gaze from her and directed them to the road.
Daphne sighed before staring out of the window, she didn't understand why he had his gaze on her before and pretended as if he was not looking at her. Maybe he was looking at how saggy her skin was now.
Sadness overwhelmed her because she knew her skin could never return to normal but she didn't regret having her triplet.
He drove into the palace and the guards bowed as his car drove beside them. Her stomach churned and she felt dizzy just by staring at the gigantic white palace.
The car pulled to halt and he got down and she stepped out as well. "Follow me." He said simply and she quickly followed him without questioning him.
The guards bowed to him as he walked into the palace. Daphne stared around and was amazed at the changes in the palace. Her sightseeing was cut short as Xander pulled a door opened for her.
"Enter." He said and Daphne just entered tired already.
The room was beautifully furnished with white, the queen-size bed stood in the middle with a small bench in front of it.
There was a dresser by the left side and two blue couches facing each other. She sat on one and Xander took the other one.
"I'm all ears, why are you here?"
Daphne cleared her throat and then sat upright. "I have a triplet for you." She released the bombshell staring at her fingers.
Hearing nothing, she glanced at Xander who stared at her emotionless.
"Are you hearing me?" She asked and he nodded.
"So I had triplet for you and they were kidnapped. The police said the kidnapper's car was seen coming to Davedwood, I needed your help in finding my babies. They are my life please." She was already crying by the time she was done.
She glanced up at Xander Ark who said nothing. She was forced to tap him to check if he was listening to her.
"Say something, please." She cried tapping his hand. He removed his hand from her touch and then stood up.
"Xander Ark," She thundered standing up after him.
"Xander!" She boomed at him but he said nothing than snapped the door open and left the room.
"Xander!" She yelled loudly as she ran to him. She snatched the door open and was shocked to see an empty hallway. It was as if he disappeared right from her room. She slammed the door close before bursting into a loud cry.
