00. Start
It was supposed to be an ordinary night. Nasa loob lang ako ng maliit kong condo, nagluluto ng hapunan, trying to relax after a long day. Wala namang kakaiba just the usual sizzling pan, the smell of garlic, and the quiet hum of the city outside my window.
Pero sa isang iglap, everything changed.
Biglang lumiwanag ang buong paligid, parang may sumabog na ilaw mula mismo sa kalan. I tried to scream, pero wala nang lumabas na tunog sa bibig ko. My vision blurred, my body felt weightless, and then darkness.
Pagdilat ng mga mata ko, hindi na kusina ang nasa harap ko. Hindi na rin ang condo na sanay kong uuwian. Sa halip, isang maliit na baryo na parang hinugot mula sa lumang libro. Walang kuryente, walang modernong gusali just wooden houses, cobblestone paths, at mga taong nakasuot ng kakaibang damit.
"Where… am I?" bulong ko sa sarili ko, habang nanginginig ang kamay ko.
I don’t belong here. This isn’t my world. And yet somehow, I knew this was only the beginning of a story I never asked to be part of.
