CHAPTER FOUR

Christy's POV

I was Currently holding my phone waiting for my results , yes I took the exams and am waiting for the results and my heart is pounding faster than usual.

What if I fail ..

Ricky was here assuring me that I'll pass and many other things he's saying which I choose to block out.

“Ricky just shut up you're annoying me with your incessant talking.”Christy managed to get Ricky to shut his mouth

“I was just trying to ease the tension you ungrateful soul .”Ricky said smiling

Ding..

Her result was showing on the screen but she didn't want to look at it .

Ricky grabbed the phone and looked at her sadly.

“It doesn't matter Ricky I'll still buy you the drink .”Christy said sadly

“You think you failed sissy, you passed the exam and am so happy for you sorry for scaring you.”Ricky said making Christy to scream

She knew the Cafe wasn't opened yet so she screamed attracting Tom and his wife Mary.

“It better be something good.”Tom said with a mob Stick in his hands

“I passed the exam and am going to college .”Christy shouted again making Mary shout too

“I knew you would pass the exam.”Tom said hugging her

“Thank you all for believing in me.”Christy said smiling

“Okay that's good news to start the day with.”Mary said

“I'll go open up the place.”Tom said leaving with his wife.

Christy hugged Ricky immediately

“Thanks again R you believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself and thanks for pushing me to do it.”Christy said with tears

“You know you could pay me back by taking me for some drinks after work today and. You look ugly when you cry.”Ricky said leaving her Alone

She looked down at her phone again and read the email that was sent to her by the school.

Christy wanted to become a therapist especially for children because she knew what if felt like not having who to talk to.

She had to make a part payment before the month ends she didn't have enough money on her and she didn't want to bother Tom she knew the business has not been doing so well recently.

She just hoped for a miracle..

1 hour later.

It was already 7:45 am and Adam would soon be here.

Adam is the secretary to Daniel Wright who Adam fears alot he calls him a quick tempered man.

She made it her duty to make his order a minute early so that his boss wouldn't fire him .

“Hey bestie .”Adam said sitting on the counter

“Hi Adam here's your order and you better get going. “Christy said rolling her eyes at Adam who was pouting

“Can't a man take a break .”Adam said

“Just resign .”Christy said

“Hell no ,I better get going boss is very angry today I might loss my job if I make any mistake today wish me luck.”Adam said leaving the Cafe quickly

“Good luck.”Christy said attending to another customer when she noticed that she gave Adam the wrong order

“Shit.”Christy cursed

Now he's going to lose his job because of me , what am I going to do now

“Ricky cover up for me I nee to take care of something important.”Chrsty said taking the right order

His company was not far from the Cafe it was a block away and she's a really good runner.

She reached the company and was amazed not only was the outside amazing the interior was breathtaking.

“Please am lost I need to see Mr Adam he's Daniel Wright's secretary.”Christy told the receptionist

“It on the 28th floor take the elevator by your left .”She said smiling

“Thanks very much.”Christy said

She was walking fast that she didn't notice someone coming towards her but it was already late.

“Are you blind or what.” The strange man shouted

Chrsty was on the floor with the coffee spilled on the floor and the man suit.

He was very handsome looking like a model that just stepped out of the magazines, he's broad chest begging her to lay her head down and he's ..

Her thought was interrupted when she realized that the coffee was all over the place.

“You are the one blind can't you see your broad chest was in the way and now you're blaming me seriously.”Chrsty shouted at him causing a scene many people just left the scene when they saw the man

“Appologize and leave .”Daniel said getting angry

“No way am leaving here , my friend Adam his boss is going to fire him if he don't bring his coffee early and I gave him the wrong order.”Christy said

“And..”Daniel said

“He's going to fire him , Adam told me he's very hard to please and was angry this morning can you show me his office so that I can explain this .”Christy said

“Sure this way .”Adam said

“You are coming with me you are taking part of the blame I can't let that jerk fire my friend .”Christy said

“How did you know he's a jerk.”Daniel asked amused

“I overheard the workers am sure he's an old crumpy man but I don't care am going to beg him not to fire Adam.”Christy said with determination in her voice

The elevator stopped and Daniel came out Chrsty following him.

She Saw Adam whose eyes were widened when he saw them.

“Adam am sorry it's my fault I wasn't paying attention to the order .”Christy said sadly

“Is that why you are here .”He asked her

“Yes I met him on the way and spilled the coffee on him it was his fault walking around looking at his phone.”Christy said glaring at Daniel

“Chrsty this is my boss I have been talking about Mr Daniel Wright.”Adam said making Christy gasp

“He's the Daniel Wright. “Christy asked Adam again

“Yes.”Adam said in a whisper
