Adrian Reyes entered the café exactly at ten.
Mia recognized him immediately.
She had researched him.
That had been her first mistake.
Her second mistake was staring.
He was tall, composed, and irritatingly handsome.
His expression suggested he had never been late for anything in his life.
He approached her.
“Miss Santos?”
“Yes.”
“You're the creator?”
“Yes.”
“You don't show your face.”
“No.”
“Why?”
“Because it's my face.”
His eyebrow lifted.
Mia immediately regretted the answer.
He sat down.
“I want you to create content for North & Co.”
“How much?”
He gave her a figure.
She nearly dropped her coffee.
“For that much?”
“Yes.”
“What's the catch?”
“I don't trust influencers.”
Mia smiled.
“Lucky for you, I'm not one.”
“What are you?”
“An introvert with a camera.”
For the first time, Adrian almost smiled.
Almost.
