The day finally came: the first day of the Tournament. After Sir Duncan finished his twenty minutes speech, the Tournament would begin. A game played twice a year: few weeks before Thanksgiving and at the beginning of spring. It would go in the span of five to seven days. Starting from after breakfast to just before the curfew. There was no schedule of when you would be called. You just have to wait until Sir Fred called out your name—preferably in rigid, biting your nails off unless you’re a Kassel. The darn school just loved the element of surprise. The rules were simple: no herbs allowed and no killing, anything else was okay.
