The sound of sirens blared throughout her ears, waking her up. The ear-splitting sound continued endlessly. What was it about? She rubbed her eyes. Welcoming her sight was an entirely different room from hers at Z. There were no bunks. It was smaller, like only a fourth of her room. The walls were ashy white. The ceiling was low, with a white lamp and a fan that wasn't working. Her feet moved. They were moving on their own without her commanding it. They slid down the bed, to the cold tiled floor. That was when she noticed something. It was not her legs. Her legs were small and not that long. She was not tall, after all.
