The next morning, the house was in complete chaos. Gloria’s mom left early to meet Gloria at the hair salon, and Peyton’s mom was nagging at Chris to shower, but Chris kept eating bowl after bowl of cereal to combat his nerves. Her dad ironed his and Chris’s shirts, and Peyton was in charge of putting flowers in the vases and finishing any last minute touches for the reception.
