CHAPTER NINE Franklin caught himself brooding about Georgie and shook his head. ‘b****y hell. You’re becoming a mopey bastard.’ Annoyed with himself, he picked up the newspaper and discarded it again, having read the interesting bits earlier. Twitchy, restless, he jiggled his feet, then jumped up and paced. He tried to blame his restlessness on the three months until footy returned, and tucked into an afternoon meal to cover lunch and tea for something to do. Overfull now, he hit the shed for a weights workout and good long run on the treadmill. Lots of cardio kept his muscles lean, not bulky and slow, and the jog cleared his head.
