CHAPTER NINETEEN Georgie fanned her face to soothe her puffy eyes as she turned into the next property. The gravel driveway led to a house-in-progress with a Smart Car in the foreground. She grimaced, having met a few greenies more motivated by attention-seeking than carbon footprints. She also struggled to imagine the Smart Car tackling the hilly Black Spur and would never choose one herself, but she was here with an open mind. But for the car and a radio burbling softly, Georgie might have assumed she was alone on the building site.
