“One.” Dr. Jason announced grabbing a hold of the arrow’s stem.
“Just because I care doesn't make you any less strong or weak. It’s ok to be consoled.” Aldric through mindlink to Rhett trying to get his thoughts off of what's about to happen.
“I don't need you -” Rhett started to say but then let out a yell, as Dr. Jason snapped the tail off the arrow and pushed it through his upper chest area.
Luke quickly waved the gauzes at Aldric. Blood began pouring down out of the gaping hole the arrow left. Aldric pulled Rhett to him, grabbing the gauze as he did and pressing them into the wound. Rhett leaned his forehead against Aldric breathing hard.
“I got you. I got you.” Aldric whispered, pressing his forehead into Rhett’s.
