The next few days crept by. Aldric was staying away from Rhett as much as possible. Rhett had moved on to overseeing the fencing. Rhett looked down at the seeds he was planting and wondered what would become of him and this place. He stood up dusting off his hands looking out over the fields. Another worker Leon came up to him offering him a water bottle. Aldric smiled, grateful for taking it.
“You know we should plant this patch differently.” Aldric said to him quietly.
