After: Waverly stood at the hole in the fence. She looked out into the darkness wondering why he just built a normal fence on this side instead of a reinforced one. She studied the sides of the fence; it had definitely been cut. She sighed, touching the sharp edges. She knew in her gut that this is where it would all start. One single attack would lead to what would feel like hundreds. She prayed Rhett would listen. Something stirred out in the darkness or at least that's what her body was telling her. Her hair on her arms and the back of her neck were standing on its ends. She felt Winter pull on her wanting her to shift. Winter wanted to protect them. Waverly ignored the pull.
