Rhett stood up. He looked down at Aldric almost debating with himself about leave. He had to go be the Alpha. He needed to let Samuels family know he didn't make it. They didn't even know he had returned from the mission or that it had gone south. He knew that they knew every time he left there was a risk but this mission was supposed to be easy. He sighed deeply, something keeping his feet glued to the spot on the floor next to Aldric’s bedside. This man had entered his life suddenly and for the first time in his life he was confused. He let out a long sigh. He wished he could mindlink Waverly and have her come here but after the car wreck battle he knew she needed rest.
“Luke?” Rhett mindlinked him, something was telling him not to leave Aldric alone.
