We were walking home and Aaron kept talking to me, but I was plunged into deep thought. I was recalling the incident that went on between me and Elora, was I too harsh in my replies?, After all she was only trying to be friendly. But then why was I feeling uneasy?

Now walking home alone I could hear my little brother ranting on and on about something, but I couldn't quite make sense of it because at this point I was perplexed on what to do about the new girl in our class.

She definitely was different from all other girls I've met, I thought to myself.

Because that's the only was she could have left such an impact on me upon just seeing her, oh well I'll probably sleep it off I concluded. Then almost immediately Aaron said, jay!

What?! I responded as if woken up from a dream,

Have you been listening to me? He asked

Well yes I have. I replied... Oh really? he asked with a suspicious face. Okay then what was the last thing?.

I chuckled and replied sorry champ, I lied, wasn't really listening. He then said aha I knew it laughing innocently.

And I looked at him and thought to myself of only you knew about the things going on in my head.

Minutes later we got home.

We always had people other than our nuclear family around. Ranging from close relatives to friends staying with us. And as for my parents, well our mum was out of the state and Dad usually comes back late from work.

So it was I, Aaron and Cynthia (my aunt's daughter) who had just recently finished secondary school regardless we were age mates so we were pretty close.

Hey Cynthia sup?! I asked

Welcome jay...how was school today? She asked

Oh there's a new girl in my class tho, and she's extremely pretty and I ha...

Woah a pretty girl?!

You hardly talk about the females in your school, unless when you're bragging of your encounters and you haven't been doing that recently, and here I was to thinking you had lost interest in women and perhaps was turning gay, she said while interrupting me. Haha funny, I replied with a straight face.

Well freshen up and tell me all about it she said, I don't gossip I replied.

Eh? It's not gossiping if it has to do with you she said, hmm I guess, aight I'll be back I said, but firstly I'm starving, I said while walking towards the kitchen I took some food from the warmer and ate it while standing, won't you sit down first? Cynthia asked,

I couldn't reply because I was busy stuffing my mouth as fast as I could.

After eating I walked to my room and fell straight on my bed... I was so exhausted and almost immediately I started dozing off.

About 2 minutes later, I could hear my door opening up someone came into my room, and it was Cynthia who jumped on the bed and startled me.

"Jay why are you sleeping?"she said with a sad expression on her face.

"because I can, and I'm tired", I replied.

"But you said you were gonna tell me about the new girl and here you are sleeping" she protested, pouting a little bit.

"I'm really tired tho.. can't we talk about it later"? I asked

"No, it must be now" , she protested.

Well okay I said while sitting upright,

"Well we had a new student joining us for the first time today, her name is elora she's extremely beautiful.. at least that's what I think" "I said also I couldn't take my eyes of her like literally she was that pretty and I felt somehow... should I say like I had butterflies in my belly. if that is the expression" I added.

Also I had to leave the class just to get her off my mind and couldn't even understand what was going on at the moment.

And to worsen the case, she was sitting with my friends at lunch time and I would have avoided that table but Sam called out to me and I didn't want to be like I was bluntly ignoring him or avoiding them.

So I had to go sit there and she was sitting opposite me, I could already feel my pulse rising.

Then she introduced herself to me almost immediately I sat down with an amazing voice, way way better than yours by the way and I felt chills Cynthia I felt chills! I said shaking Cynthia's body from her arms who was already laughing.

Oh well one thing led to another and I had eventually had to leave the table abruptly and yh that's about it.

Hmm seems like this one's gonna be a problem jay, she said.

Yh I know right although I think I'm overthinking it.. I'll prolly sleep it over.

But don't you think you should at least become friends, who knows perhaps she might be your soulmate, she said laughing loudly.

That's very funny I said laughing faintly. But I don't believe in such things.

I'll like to see how this turns out tho keep me updated please she pleaded,

Yeah whatever, now get out of my room I really need to sleep, I added. Then she mimicked me and added you don't have to be rude about it.

Yh just go thanks.

I'm going already, I pray you don't wake up she said while going out of the door.

May your prayers be answered I said while adjusting my head to the comfort of my pillow and sighed heavily.

All this stress in just one day mostly because of a girl arghh.

And it's just Monday, I added as I I started dozing of while still being a little conscious of my surroundings.

At about 2 minut later my eyes stated giving up and I fell fast asleep.
