Thank you for reading Protectors of Poison, I hope you enjoyed it! I don’t normally write author notes anymore, so I’ll keep this one short! The Forgotten Gods world is one I’ve wanted to create for a long time. I’ve loved Ancient Egyptian mythology since I was a child (when I begged my parents to take me to Egypt. They did when I was thirteen and it was absolutely everything I hoped it would be!)
Taking Egyptian mythology and shaping it to my story has been amazingly fun, though I wanted to write this note just to say that I have used some artistic license with that mythology. Saying that, all of the gods and goddesses are real, and their shifter selves are their sacred animals.
