Chapter Two "Are you going to stop following me?" I demanded a couple of hours later. Fet might have let me walk away from him, but that hadn't stopped him from trailing behind me and not saying a word. I didn't even understand why he was doing that. Surely it was boring for him too? "Your father..." I spun around, cutting off his words with a swift hand gesture. "If you want to get anywhere with this, then I suggest you don't bring him up." "He's just been trying to protect you," he insisted. I had to hand it to him, he wasn't shrinking back from me. Which was both surprising and annoying. Why wasn't he cowering in fear? I was the goddess of vengeance. Everyone should be cowering at my feet and begging for mercy. I supposed having everyone forget who I was didn't help on that front.
