Chloe’s POV I woke up with an even heavier heart than I had the day before, my head hurt because I’d cried myself to sleep but I still dragged myself around to get prepped for the day. It was a school day but I always got a pass on April 28th to attend my parents’ death anniversary. After getting dressed, I went downstairs and got into the back seat of the black limousine that was parked outside. Seconds after I’d gotten in and gathered the flowers on the seat into my laps, my uncle got in and sat on the farthest edge and the driver took that as his cue to start the trip. On my end, I was struggling fervently to keep myself from losing my mind. My cold palms had suddenly grown disgusting clammy with sweat upon seeing him and my entire body felt like it was being sent into overdrive.
