Zaden's Mate Is In Bad Condition

1465 Words
Zaden’s POV “Alpha King.” Richard’s voice cut through the tension like a blade. I didn’t look up. My focus remained on the fragile body in my arms, her warmth fading far too quickly against my chest. “They’re dead,” he continued, and stepped a few steps closer and whispered. “Every rogue.” “Good. They didn’t deserve a single breath after hurting my mate.” My voice was a low, cold gHowever,l. But it brings them no satisfaction it should have. Because none of it mattered. Not when her pulse was this weak. Not when her scent_my mate’s scent_was laced with pain and blood. I shifted her carefully lifting her bridal style in my arms, tightening my hold as I turned towards the convoy. “We’re not wasting any time. Which is the nearest pack?” Richard stiffened but didn’t hesitate before replying, “Bloodmoon pack, that’s where we were heading.” My jaws clenched in anger. Of course, it had to be them. For a split second, I considered avoiding it, taking her somewhere else, somewhere safer and cleaner without any violence. But she didn’t have much time, she wouldn’t last the distance if I took her somewhere else. And right now, survival mattered more than my pride and hatred towards the Bloodmoon pack Alpha and his ways. “Prepare now. Your Luna Queen needs to be protected. We’re heading to the Bloodmoon.” I ordered sharply. “Private. No interruptions.” “Yes, Alpha King,” Richard responded straightening his posture as my alpha pheromones dominated the surroundings. I took her to my car, sitting in the car with her cradled carefully in my lap. Richard started the car and I gave him a precise instruction. “Drive faster and don’t stop for anything.” Richard nods and accelerates the engine, weaving through the dense forest road with practiced ease. I occasionally looked down to make sure she was safe in my arms. The moment we crossed into the bloodmoon territory, the atmosphere changed. Guards lined the borders, stiffened as they recognized the royal convoy. I ignored them. Their Bows, their greetings, their unease… nothing mattered. It was all useless when my mate was like this. All that mattered was her… My Mate. “Alpha King Zaden,” one of the guards called rushing to the car window. “We weren’t informed of your arrival at this time. We… we thought you would come by tomorrow afternoon so…” “You are now,” I cut him off coldly, not glancing up from my mate's face hidden in my neck. “Move He froze for half a second before stepping aside immediately. Smart… no one dares to defy me. The convoy entered the pack without any trouble. Of course it wasn’t a trouble, I’m the Alpha King of the whole werewolf Kingdom. The convoy stopped in front of the bloodmoon packhouse and I got out of the car carrying her bridal style into the packhouse. I didn’t slow down as I entered the pack house, my presence alone sending a ripple of silence through the halls, Wolves stopped. Conversations died. Eyes followed my movements and some even tried to take a look at who I was holding, but luckily her long dark hair hid her face well enough to keep her a secret. “Clear the corridor,” Richard commanded behind me, his voice sharp and authoritative, “Now.” Footsteps scattered and everyone got out of my way instantly. Of course they would, this wasn’t a command from any normal Beta. Richard is my Beta, my royal Beta known for his Cruelty just like mine as a king. Everyone scattered like scared cats. Good. I didn’t want eyes on my mate. Didn’t want any whispers about her or anyone to know that she even existed. Not yet. Not until I knew and understood why my mate.. looked like she had been forced through hell. The door to my assigned chamber slammed open and I stepped inside without hesitation. “OUT,” I ordered the servants who were already inside cleaning. They didn’t argue or said any word. Within seconds, they simply left leaving the room empty except for us. I moved to the bed, laying her down with so much care that it felt foreign to my hands. My fingers lingered for a moment longer than necessary as I adjusted her position, making sure her head rested properly. She didn’t stir, react, or even fight. A dangerous tension coiled in my chest thinking about who got her into this condition. “Why isn’t she waking up?” I demanded my voice sharp as I turned towards Richard. “She’s lost a lot of blood,” he replied calmly, though I could see the concern in his eyes. “And exhaustion. Possibly shock.” “POSSIBLY?” I snapped. Richard held my gaze. “She needs a healer.” My possessive instincts flared instantly, “NO.” A brief silence followed at my sudden command before he tried to speak again. “Alpha…” “No one sees her.” My voice dropped lower to a dangerous level, lethal and final. “No one touches her.” Richard exhaled slowly, choosing his next words carefully. “If she doesn’t receive proper treatment…” “I’ll handle it.” He raised a brow slightly. “You’re not a healer.” “I don’t need to be,” I snapped back at him, already moving towards my mate. “Bring medical supplies. Clean water. Bandages. And everything necessary.” “And if someone asks?” “They won’t.” My tone left no room for any doubt. Still, Richard didn’t move immediately. “She’s from this pack,” he whispered. As soon as the words left, my whole body went rigid as if frozen by extreme dread. Slowly and reluctantly I turned back to him. “What did you just say?” I asked through gritted teeth, my jaw clenched in anger and disgust. Her scent filled the room, faint, weakened but unmistakable. Beneath the blood smell, beneath the fear… it carried the very scent of every member of Bloodmoon pack. Bloodmoon pack. That meant only one thing, she had been here, she had lived here. My jaws tightened as my gaze snapped back to her unconscious form. Bruises, torn fabric of her dress as if ripped by force. Faint marks along her arms that didn’t come from a single night of violence. NO. This was repeated. Systematic. Just like how it's rumored about the Bloodmoon pack to treat their women. Rage exploded inside me, violent and uncontrollable. “Who did this to her?” Richard didn’t answer immediately but it was clear enough that members with higher ranks had done this to her. “Call the healers and make sure no words get out of here. I want to know what exactly happened to her and who did this.” Richard nodded and without any delay went out of my chamber. I ran my hand through my hair, pacing once before stopping at the edge of the bed. My gaze softened… just slightly… as it fell on her battered body. She’s so small, so breakable, and yet…she ran. She fought even in this state. “My Mate,” I murmured under my breath, the words feeling heavier than anything I had ever spoken. My chest tightened feeling the pain of my mate seeing her in this severe condition. After a few moments, Richard returned with an elderly looking lady. She bowed deeply to me in respect and headed straight to examine and treat her. “She was running from them… her own pack,” I whispered low enough only for Richard to hear. “That’s what it looks like.” He responded. “Find out everything,” I ordered, my tone leaving no room for any argument. “Who is she? " Her rank. Who’s responsible?” As Richard turned to leave I stopped him. “One more thing,” My gaze hardened before as I ordered, “No one enters this room without my explicit permission.” Richard turned to leave but before he could leave the healer called out, “Alpha King,” “What?” I asked in a low voice waiting for her to speak. “This is bad news here..” she responded slowly as if carefully measuring her words before speaking to me. “She’s malnourished, dehydrated. She was beaten and tormented every day severely in this pack and…” I looked her straight in the eye when she hesitated. My eyes narrowed in frustration and doubt at her hesitation, and I snapped. “SPIT IT OUT WOMAN.” “She…Sh…She was… r…ra…raped.”
