So that is what this is about. I sighed.
“Let me make something clear to you Emily.” I said taking a step closer to her.
“I am your boss.” My voice was calm and my face was straight.
“You don’t tell me what I can or cannot do.” I usually don’t speak to my employees like that and I treat everyone as equal, but I know very well what Emily was trying to do and showing her a soft spot would work. I might as well just be setting myself up for failure.
I may have no idea how she convinced Gina Gomez to give the contract to her, but since she is here already she should do her job.
She rolls her eyes.
“You asked to be on this project and I promise if you try to f**k it up, I will ruin you.” I wasn’t bluffing and those were not empty threats either.
