Chapter 5 Trouble

James kissed her on her forehead and she started waking up. “Good morning my princess I love you.” he said lookIng deep into her eyes. “I love you too.” She replied . “I have some business to take care of today but your breakfast is on the kitchen table. I’ll be home as soon as I can.” They kissed each other and he left.

Skye got dressed in a pink tank top and black shorts. She went into the kitchen and laid out was a delicious breakfast of cheese quesadillas and fresh orange juice. She began eating, it was so good and the orange juice tasted so crisp. She soon fished and set her plate and cup in the sink.

She went down to the basement to check on Daren even though she knows better. He was sitting down slumped in the corner of his cage. When he saw Skye he suddenly sprang up and pressed his face against the bars. “You came back!” He said excitedly. “James is at work so we need to make this quick, I wish I could help you get out of here. “ You are helping plenty.” He said. She held her arm out for him and he bit down and was drinking her blood. She didn’t feel as weak this time. He sealed up the bite mark on her arm. He gathered his strength up and was able to teleport out of the cage. “ Wow.” Said Skye. “It’s all thanks to you, don’t worry I know you are with James so this is the last time I kiss you.” He pulled her close and kissed her. The sparks were so strong this time, they both felt electrified. They pulled away. “ Why do I feel electricity with you but not James? “She asked. “ You felt it too? I know you won’t agree with this but that’s a sign you are my soulmate” I know we can’t be together because of James but I promise I’ll wait for you if you and James don’t work out.” He said as he held her hand. “ I don’t know what to think about all this.” She replied.

“I do, get your hands off her she’s mine.” Shouted James as he teleported into the basement. “He must be controlling your mind , I’m sorry Skye I know you have never been bitten but I need to bond us together so he has no control over you. He pushed Skye’s hair off her neck and gently bit into her skin but when he did this he saw in Skye’s heart that she was bonded to Daren and that Daren wasn’t controlling her mind. She had helped him out of her own free will and now James and Daren each were bound to half her heart. He sealed up her wound and took a few steps back, stunned.
