Chapter 10 Powers

He cast a protection spell on the house and then teleported to see Edwin. Head of the wizards. “Haven’t you heard of knocking? “ Asked Edwin as Alfred appeared in his house. Edwin was a tall man with short black hair and rare emerald eyes.

“ Sorry for being so urgent but I need your help. Said Alfred. “ I heard around the kingdom, my ex wife Veronica tried to kill you and your son’s girlfriend. I am sorry, her and James are lunatics.” Said Edwin with sympathy.

“And now he has my son hostage and I need to save him. As you may or may not have heard Skye has powers but she needs help unlocking them. Can I trust you to train her?” Asked Alfred.

“Yes but in return I want two things, protection by you and your vampires and if anything happens to you or Daren I want to be with Skye. I’ve heard how special she is and I’d love to have her.” Said Edwin

“Nothing is going to happen to my son or I so you won’t be getting her.” Said Alfred.

“I’m just saying, you never know.” Said Edwin “Anyway will you help us or not?” “I’ll help but only because of Skye. He said. “You better behave yourself.” Said Alfred as he teleported them both to his castle.

Skye was still sleeping when they popped in. “She looks so beautiful.” Said Edwin as he admired her.

“Don’t get any ideas or I will snap you like a twig.” Warned Alfred. “Follow me to the kitchen, I need to make dinner and I’m not trusting you around her while she sleeps. " They both went into the kitchen. Edwin sat down and watched Alfred. Alfred took some chicken out of the fridge, marinated it in some spices and put it in the oven. Then he started some mixed veggies in the frying pan. Soon the food was done. He plated her food and poured some soda for her. He pricked another finger and dropped some of his blood into her soda. “ Does your son and his girlfriend know that you are bonding yourself to her with your blood?” Asked Edwin.

“It’s none of your business and yes she knows. She agreed to be bonded to both of us . She loves us both.” “ Loves?” He asked. Alfred ignored him and went to wake up Skye. Edwin zapped her drink when he left the room with a love spell. It has a chance of failing but if it works, it will make Skye fall for him.

Meanwhile in the living room, Skye was dreaming about kissing and holding Daren. Alfred kissed her on her cheek to try to wake her up but she felt him in her dreams and must have thought he was Daren because she moved her lips up his with her eyes still closed and kissed him deeply. He returned the kiss, knowing it was wrong but he just loved her so much. She suddenly woke up and realized it wasn’t Daren .

“ I’m so sorry, I thought you were Daren . Please forgive me. I miss him so much.” She started tearing up. “ Don’t be sorry it’s my fault too, I shouldn’t have kissed you back and please forgive me for saying this but kissing you was the best feeling of my life.” They both blushed.

Since they are all bonded together Daren would have seen what just happened but he is so weak he cannot reach out to her or hear her.

“ I won’t kiss you on the lips again, I love your son and want to marry him someday.” She continued.” “I will do my best to resist you too.” He said. He lead her into the kitchen. "Skye this is Edwin, he is a wizard and is here to help you master your powers.” He took her hand and kissed it. “ it’s a pleasure to meet you he said. “ “Remember what I said she’s mine… I mean my son’s girl. So back off.” Warned Alfred.

“Fine.” Said Edwin. Skye finished eating and drank her soda. She said to Alfred in her mind “ I know something that would irritate this jerk and it would be funny can we do it?” She asked him. “ Sure.” “ Wash the knife up and accidentally cut your hand, I’ll come over and drink it .” Are you sure? It won’t taste very good not mixed with anything.” “I’m sure.” she replied.

Alfred went over to the sink and started washing the dishes. “ Ow, he said as he accidentally cut himself. Skye went over to him and held his hand up to her month and began drinking his blood while staring at Edwin. “ It feels so good when you drink from me, I want to do this again but your Daren’s girl so I must refrain.” Said Alfred with sadness. “ It feels so good to me too, don’t be mad at me for saying this but I wish I could be married to you both. She said silently. “ “ It’s technically possible but I can’t do that to my son.” He said. She stopped drinking from him and his hand sealed up. “ I couldn’t do that to him either.” She replied.

“ I should tell Daren that you are cheating on him, he would die of a broken heart then I could have you. I would just need to kill Alfred.” “I’ve had enough of you.” Said Alfred. He cast a spell to erase Edwin’s memory of that day and teleported him back to his house.

“I’m so sorry I brought him here, I didn’t know he was such a creep. He’s just like his ex wife.” He said as he held Skye. “ It’s ok I’m just happy to be in your arms and I'm sorry for the blood drinking, I shouldn’t have been that intimate with you.” “Never be sorry for that. I loved it. But we won’t be like that from now on. Daren loves you and we need to focus on him.” Said Alfred. “I know but who will train me now?” She asked.

“ I will, that way I know you are in good hands. Vampires can’t do all the spells that wizards can though but since you are special you can do the spell of any magical creatures.” Said Alfred as he kissed her forehead.

“ Ok , but can we train in the morning, I don’t know why but I’m feeling tired. Said Skye as she snuggled into his chest. “ Ok I’ll get you to bed.” He said as he led her into the bedroom. She laid down and he covered her up and kissed her forehead. “Goodnight I love you.” “Love you too.” She replied and closed her eyes.

As soon as she was asleep he cast a spell on her making her forget that she drank his blood. She was going to marry Daren so her first time drinking blood from someone should be with him. But Alfred will always remember that moment they shared.

Alfred suddenly saw a vision of his son He was chained up and bloody. “ Dad I’m dying please come.” He said then he passed out. Alfred collapsed on the floor crying. “ I’m coming my son just hold on a little longer.” He thought.
