Jane and Alpha Niklaus had been living in the cave for two days. Alpha Niklaus came out every now and then to look for a pret, so Jane can cook and eat it. That was the life cycle of the two, even occasionally the two depend on each other. How could it not be, Alpha Niklaus had gotten something from Jane, namely … Jane’s chastity. And after that for some reason Jane quite enjoyed it. She liked it and just accepted what Alpha Niklaus had done to her. She trusted him because Jane felt that Alpha Niklaus can really take care of her and save her, or this was a form of youthful love which was commonly called … a puppy love.

“What’s wrong, sir?” asked Jane when Alpha Niklaus was silent for a moment.

Alpha Niklaus got a message from two of his friends that now he was being awaited at the core of the forest to meet.

“Nothing. But, can you stay here for a moment? I’m going to go out to meet my friends. You don’t need to worry, Jane. As long as you are here and not going anywhere, then my powers will keep you safe. That’s it.”

“Okay, looks like you should meet your friends.”

Alpha Niklaus immediately rushed away leaving Jane, he was immediately in the core of the forest in the blink of an eye,

“Oh my God, Alpha Niklaus! I’m sure you really did hide on purpose or did you really want to make your father angry?”

Alpha Niklaus knew that his decision to hide with Jane was wrong, he should have returned to his pack to calm his father, moreover he was the leader of his pack.

“Sorry, I have important business.”

“With that woman?”

Alpha Niklaus was silent, he didn’t expect that Jane was even known by all members of his pack.

“How do you know?”

“Do you think our hunting instincts are dull enough? Of course your father knows about all of this, especially when you marked that human. You should’ve marked Laura, not that human, Alpha Niklaus! Your Luna is Laura, not that human! This will surely anger the moon goddess and you will be punished quite severely! Especially if the previous Alpha werewolves found out about this then you might be removed from your position as the King, Alpha Niklaus. My advice is to quickly take the human home, then you hurry back to our pack. Our pack really needs you urgently!”

“It’s not about who will be my mate, not because of Laura or anyone else. I just want to mark Jane so she won’t be touched by any of the werewolves in the world.”

“Doesn’t that mean you have the intention to protect her and make her yours?”

“I—”

“Damn! Alpha Amais and several Alphas in the Erverst realm are reportedly on their way to our pack to dethrone Alpha Niklaus!”

Alpha Niklaus couldn’t say anything, he could only stay silent while swallowing his saliva with difficulty. Of course this was not something that was good for him at all.

“Alpha Niklaus, what are you waiting for? Let’s go back to our pack! Immediately return the human to her father, because for now the most important thing is your pack, your position, and your father’s pride!”

Alpha Niklaus had no other choice, nor could he possibly stay in the cave forever and live with Jane. He had a very different destiny from Jane. Their destiny was like water and oil that will never be united. After all, once Jane had returned to her father, Jane would be safe. Her father had a weapon to exterminate werewolves and the weapon was very strong, Jane’s father was a hunter who was very feared by werewolves.

“Okay, wait for me a moment. I’ll take Jane home. But, are you sure that the whole forest is safe?”

“We tracked down and ordered werewolves beta on guard. They said that there was no sign of any werewolves, they’ve left. And one more thing, Alpha Niklaus. You must erase that human’s memory of you.”

Alpha Niklaus was silent again, then he looked at one of his friends.

“Why?”

“Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten who that woman is and who you are? Do you wish that human would tell everyone if there was a pack of werewolves in this forest and it was a real thing?”

Alpha Niklaus nodded again. Damn it, why every time he crossed paths with Jane, his brain became so stupid and dull?

“Okay, wait for me. I’ll be right after you.”

Alpha Niklaus rushed back to the cave. There he saw Jane already sitting while preparing two meals on a rock.

“Sir, you’re back? I’ve prepared some food for you, I’m sure you’ll like it!” said Jane.

For some reason seeing Jane like this made Alpha Niklaus sad. Being alone with Jane these past few days and spending time together made Alpha Niklaus feel that humans weren’t as scary as he thought. However, this certainly made Alpha Niklaus have other feelings for Jane.

“Looks like it’s time for you to return home, Jane.”

“What?”

Jane, who had been preparing food, immediately fell silent. Her beautiful smile faded. That words made Jane feel like she didn’t know what to say. How could it not be, on the one hand Jane really missed her father. Getting out of this forest and meeting her father was what she really wanted. But if Jane left this place, it meant that she will be separated from Alpha Niklaus forever. In fact, Jane already felt so comfortable around Alpha Niklaus.

“Okay, looks like it’s time for me to go home. But…” Jane stopped her speech, her face looked sad. “Can … can we meet again, Sir?”

Alpha Niklaus was silent, he immediately stepped closer to Jane. His wide steps felt so slow until Alpha Niklaus’s legs stopped right in front of Jane. He hugged Jane, put his arms around her head, and closed her eyes with his palms. Pulling Jane’s head to rest on his broad chest.

“Perhaps, this will be our first and last meeting, Jane.”

“But—” Jane’s words stopped, when Alpha Niklaus pressed her head.

Alpha Niklaus blew something on Jane’s neck, making the neck that was originally clean now had a pretty beautiful mark. After that Jane was unconscious. Alpha Niklaus might have felt sad, but this wasn’t the time for that.

He quickly carried Jane’s body. He brought Jane back to a container that was conjured up like a house, just like what Alpha Niklaus saw in Jane’s mind. Then Alpha Niklaus put Jane on a chair in a state that was still unconscious.

Came back as fast as lightning, Alpha Niklaus immediately gathered together with his friends, and unfortunately all the Alphas on earth now surrounded their pack.

“Alpha Niklaus, you’re finally back!”

“Alpha Niklaus, now is the day of your destruction!”
