Thief! Where?

Mia glanced at her phone and saw it was Henry calling. She quickly answered, “It’s fine. I’m already having lunch with Mister Munn.” She ended the call without waiting for a response. Munn, sitting across from her at a cozy café, smiled. “Mia, I’ve met all the Lunar brothers. Henry stands out as the best. He’s become the company president and secured many big projects. He’s someone you should think about.” Mia took a sip of her water and made a face. “Consider marrying him? No way. Why would I ever think about that cold man?” Munn chuckled. “Why not? He’s impressive, after all.” “No,” Mia said firmly. “I just said I liked him this morning to get a rise out of him. I don’t actually want to marry him.” Munn raised an eyebrow. “Really? You seemed serious.” Mia shook her head. “Nope. He’s arrogant and indifferent. Not my type.” Mia settled into the security booth, chatting with Munn as he filled her in on his day. The guards exchanged glances and whispered about her presence. ...... Hours later, Henry finished his meeting and learned from his assistant that Mia had been at the security booth all day. His curiosity piqued, he ordered, “Look into Munn’s background and his connection to Mia. Also, bring Mia up to my office.” Mia arrived at Henry’s office and looked around with mild interest. Henry’s tone was formal as he said, “Dad won’t be happy if he finds out you’ve been at the security booth all day.” Mia rolled her eyes. “Fine. But don’t blame me if I distract you. You’re the one who called me up here.” She plopped down on the sofa, clearly unconcerned. Henry sighed and returned to his paperwork. Mia pulled out her phone and started playing a game, the loud sounds echoing through the office. Henry frowned, trying to ignore the noise. Mia's game continued with loud noises from her phone. “Why are you guys so useless?” she scolded her teammates. “Use your hands, not your feet. You’re just my backup.” Henry’s irritation grew as he listened to harsh remarks. Despite her not using explicit insults, her harsh tone was enough to make her teammates retaliate. He regretted asking her to his office, feeling she was intentionally trying to get under his skin. As Mia’s game dragged on, Henry struggled to focus on his work. She seemed completely oblivious to how disruptive she was being. Finally, as the game ended, Henry stood up and grabbed his coat. “Let’s go,” he said curtly. Mia stretched and followed him out, still absorbed in her phone. As they walked toward the door, Henry glanced at Mia. “Wait for me in the parking lot,” he instructed. Mia nodded and left, heading downstairs. Once Mia was out, Henry’s assistant approached him with an update. “Sir, I looked into Munn’s background. He owns several properties and office buildings in Oldcastle and has a net worth in the hundreds of millions. He only took the security guard job out of boredom.” Henry raised an eyebrow, surprised by the revelation. “I haven’t figured out his connection to Miss Mia yet.” He couldn't help but wonder how Mia could know someone so affluent and her recent dinner with Wayne. It seemed she was more complex than he had initially thought. For now, he decided to focus on making sure Munn’s intentions towards Mia were genuine. When Mia and Henry got home, they were met with a busy and somewhat chaotic living room. The Lunar were gathered, and a young woman in an elegant suit dress, clearly affluent, was chatting with Gionne. “Look who’s home!” Gionne greeted them energetically. “Rick, Gale just arrived from her trip abroad. She came straight here from the airport.” Gale, standing up, extended her hand to Henry with a forced smile when he barely acknowledged her. She turned to Mia with a more genuine, though slightly envious, grin. “Hi, Mia. I’m Gale Mont. I’ve known Rick and his brothers for years. If you ever feel like hanging out, just let me know.” Gale had heard Mia was attractive, but seeing her in person, even without makeup, was impressive. Mia’s natural beauty drew some envious glances from the others. Mia, sensing Gale’s thinly veiled jealousy, responded politely but disinterestedly, “Sure.” Dominic arrived soon after, exchanging friendly greetings with Gale, given their longstanding friendship with the Mont family. Mia stepped aside, letting the lively conversation continue as she awaited dinner. Gionne then said, “Oh, Gale, I bought some gifts for you. I’ll go get them.” She went upstairs but returned shortly looking distressed. “Dominic, where is the jewelry I stored in the drawer?” Dominic shrugged and replied, “I have no idea.” Gionne turned to her sons, “Did any of you take it?” They all shook their heads. “This is unusual. Where could it have gone?” Gionne asked, frustration growing. Gale, looking concerned, suggested, “Missus Gionne, could it be theft?” Gionne’s temper flared. “Who would dare? If the jewelry isn’t returned immediately, I’ll have you all thrown out! If it’s not found, I’ll have the police involved!” With no confessions, she ordered, “Xander, check all the rooms.” Mia, who had been scrolling through her phone, listened intently to the commotion. After an hour, Xander reported, “Ma’am, we’ve checked every room except Miss Mia’s and the staff quarters.” A helper added, “Madam, Miss Mia did walk past us when we were discussing the broken security camera yesterday. I saw her leave your room later in the day.” Gionne’s eyes narrowed. “I knew there was something off about you refusing Dominic’s card yesterday. You pretended to be so proper while sneaking around. Xander, search her room.” Dominic protested, “That’s absurd! Mia isn’t like that.” “And how much do you really know about her? She’s from the countryside. Of course, she might do something like this. She was alone in the house yesterday, making her the prime suspect.” Mia stayed calm and said, “It’s alright, Mister Dominic. Let them search my room.” She realized this was a setup and was determined to uncover who was behind it. Xander and the helpers proceeded to Mia’s room while the rest remained in the living room. Mia turned to the helper who had made the accusation and asked coolly, “What’s your name?”
