A century later, Yao's ancient eyes flickered.
Fear.
Ever since he had awakened from what sealed him, the concept of fear had been foreign to him. It is only now did he know that such a thing existed.
The river of time flowed beneath the Zicuen mountain and it influenced time greatly on both outside and inside therefore, stopping time outside, and creating a suppression inside.
A defensive mechanism actually.
This is to defend against unwanted Intruders who's only intention is to invade and snatch the ancient techniques hidden below the mountain. Yao knew too well that he held no evil intention, instead he only came here for humanity's sake. Not that he even knew how exactly it would help humanity. Despite the selfishness, the mountain did not reject him, rather it bombarded him with its time suppression, probably wanting Yao to break it.
Time continued to pass and Yao did not know how long, but if time isn't keeping him exactly as he had entered the mountain, he should have grown white hairs by now. Not knowing what else to do, he entered his mind's eye inner world.
The time suppression tried to break his mind, yet the clarity realm of spirit control kept him sane. If it had been any other cultivator, then they probably would have become an i***t already.
Last he checked, he had entered the advanced stage of the true Qi Realm due to the fact that 5 acupoints had mysteriously been cleared.
In anticipation, he checked the ninth acupoint…
Cleared.
His eyes widened.
He did not hesitate. His spirit energy flowed like a river dam and washed the ninth acupoint, transforming it to the ninth meridian.
The tenth, eleventh and twelfth acupoints were shockingly cleared, which means if washed down with spirit energy, then he becomes a peak true qi realm expert in the supreme qi stage.
Yao was horrified.
He looked at the violet patterns that hung above the sky, painting the world an overcast.
Something did not sit right about these patterns. It was too easy— these patterns were ignoring the time taken to clear acupoints.
But— where exactly did it come from?
It didn't take long and long and his aura shifted four times, bringing him to the final stage.
The Supreme qi stage.
The next cultivation realm to advance is the Spirit Realm. Yao knew a thing or two about the spirit realm… not that he knew, but with the help of the third eye, he was able to discern that this one did not require a Heavenly Spirit Tribulation. He could ascend into the realm if he met the requirements.
The twelve stages of true qi were still only a basic foundation at the end of the day. Within the realm of true qi, one was still only a true qi practitioner no matter how strong he was. If they could not transform their true qi to spirit qi, then their path of martial dao was but an elusive and futile effort.
All would be as ephemeral as the clouds at the end of two hundred years of life. Thus, there was another sentence that existed as one ascends higher: If true qi does not transmute to spirit qi, then one is still a work. Adding the two sentences together gave rise to this saying:
Twelve stages of true qi separate snakes and dragons. So true qi must transmute to spirit qi, least, one remains a worm.
Transmuting true qi into spirit qi is very different from the potential spirit energy in a cultivator. This is just like finding an impure gold and then refining it to raise its level. That is to say, its initial stage was low and pathetic until it was refined.
So spirit qi is an act of training true qi to an utmost level, transforming true qi to spirit qi, perceiving the spirit sea— that is the spirit energy, cleaving open the spirit ocean and reshaping it.
Once true qi was converted to spirit qi, that was when one shook off the shackles of martial dao and entered the dao of spirit. According to the laws of martial dao, those under 30 had the greatest chance of transmuting true qi to spirit will. The probability would shrink by half at forty with no chance at all after 50 years of a cultivator's life.
Therefore, if one didn't make good use of time in transforming true qi after training to the eleven levels of true qi, they would forever lose this chance if their age exceeds the appropriate range.
Transmuting true qi to spirit qi is not merely an ascension of martial dao training, but also a transformation, a ritual of leaving behind the mundane and entering the spirit. The enhancement of strength and raising of one's level in this process is important, but the enhancement and transformation of the heart's strength is equally important.
Yao's eyes flickered.
All he needed is mastery over the 12 stages of true qi realm. Changing the form of his spirit energy is needed… an ocean.
Although Yao's spirit energy was boundless, it doesn't mean that it was a sea or an ocean.
He could only carry out the transmutation of true qi to spirit qi only if his spirit energy had entered the terrifying level of the infinity realm. Only then can it be considered as an ocean or a sea.
Yao sighed.
Just fusing the grains of spirit energy was a hard task which took more than forty years to completely fuse. If he wasn't inside the mountain and tormented by the time suppression, who knows, he would have likely grown older to be unable to transmute true qi to spirit qi. Not to talk of the fact that he still had the clarity realm to accomplish, plus he knew absolutely nothing about this realm and how to go about it.
Yao is currently 25 years old, so he had to be Spirit sooner.
His main goal is the ancient techniques hidden beneath the mountain.
The Zicuen mountain wasn't running away. He could come over to it and try to comprehend the clarity realm of spirit energy control. He could even cultivate it to the infinity realm.
Yao smiled darkly.
“Let's break this time suppression then.”
