The night was a whirlwind of flashing lights, loud music, and way too much alcohol. I had no idea how we even ended up leaving the club, but somehow, I found myself crammed into the back of a cab with Asher, his hand lazily resting on my knee. The only thing that kept me from completely losing my mind was the fact that he kept muttering something about how he had the “perfect playlist for our night,” which made absolutely no sense but somehow added to the absurdity of the situation.
