The Train

Riley’s POV

**2 years after the attack**9 years old**

'Wake up sleeping beauty' I hear Eli yell in my head.

'I’m up, no need to yell' I wine to him.

'Well, when we’ve been trying to get you up for the last half hour there is' Greyson tells me. The only thing I do is make an ‘oh’ face, then say, 'sorry guys' they then go quiet. I leave the hoodie on because it’s a bit cold, always cold in the morning. Put the bag back on and start walking. As I’m walking I’m eating berries form the bushes as I pass them.

As I'm walking I ask 'can you show me how to summon your weapons when we walk, cause I’m nine today,'

'Sure kid, I'll show you an image of the longbow and quiver and you just need to imagine yourself wearing it. But cause you have your quiver just think about it full of the arrows. Ok,'' Eli said

'ok,'' I then got an image of a longbow and a brown leather quiver. I imagine the feeling of the quiver on my hip full of arrows and the feeling of the bow in my hands. Then all of a sudden I found a longbow. I reached to the side and felt the quiver full of arrows.

'Is the quiver ever going to run out of arrows' I ask. Eli replied with 'as long as you believe the quiver is always full the quiver will always be full.' Then I imagined the bow and arrows no longer in my hands and they weren't. 'Can all of you share what your weapons look like in case I need them?' they reply with 'Of course' 'sure' 'ok's then I get images of all the weapons and summon each one.

**later that day**

It’s now about 9:30 pm and I see lights in the distance, the lights must be coming from the town. But everything is most likely closed, so I do the same thing as last night. Find somewhere to sleep, eat, hoodie, then sleep.

*next morning*

Today I woke up at around 9:30 a.m. As of right now, I'm hedging the short distance from where I slept to the town. An hour and a half later I am in town. It doesn't look very big but looks to have a decent amount of people. I need to know if there is a bus station or a train station and get out of this state. I'm thinking of leaving Alabama for Massachusetts. I enter a*****e called ‘Rosie’s Roses flowers.’ when I go in a little bell goes off, I see a lady around 35 years old at a counter. She looks over at me saying “welcome to Rosie Roses flower how can I help you.” only realizing after that I’m a 9-year-old kid. As I walk up to the counter I say “ Hi, I was wondering if there was a bus or train station in this town?” the lady just said, “there is a train station a couple of blocks away, I hope you don't mind my asking but why are you looking for the train station?” “ my mother is sick, and I was here visiting my aunt, but it got worse, so I need to get back, but,” I say, and her face turns into a sympathetic/pity one. “ I'm sorry to hear that. How about I let my assistant watch the shop, and I can walk you to the station.” she offers, I don't have a chance to say anything before her assistant is at the counter and she’s putting on her jacket.

“l’mRosie by the way.” “Riley” and we walk to the station wheel having a nice chat. Soon enough we reach the station, and to my surprise, Rosie comes in with me. We walk up to the counter and she asks me where im going. I say I'm heading to Massachusetts. The thing is that she even bought my ticket, I said that I could pay for it but she was very stubborn. It was 10:14 now and the train didn't leave until 9:30 p.m. which is about nine hours away. She insisted that she take me to get food and shopping, cause im wearing the hoodie I got all those years ago and a pair of pants I made form animal pellets. We went to dinner, I got a stack of pancakes, some fruits, and a big place of chocolate milk. When we were done she said she took me shopping, she wanted to go crazy, but I only let her get a few things. Like a couple of pairs of sweatpants, jogging pants, jeans, shirts, socks, even a box of boxers, she also got me a black duffle bag to put everything in. it was now 6:00 Rosie just kept shopping, she only stopped when she saw the time and decided it was dinner time. We were going to a place called “Ricky's Rib Shack” when we entered it smelled heavenly. We both ordered ribs with a side of fries, and they taste as heavenly as they smell. After dinner we went to the train station, she sat with me until my train came. When it came Rosie handed me a piece of paper and said “ here is my phone number, please call me when you get there. Ok and if you ever need someone to talk to, I’ll be there. Ok. now you should get going. Also if you ever get a chance, come back and visit and I had an amazing day with you.”

“I'll call when I arrive, I'll call if I need someone to talk to or if I need help, and if I ever get a chance I will definitely come and visit. Ok. I gotta go. Bye”

''bye, Riley.” and I got on the train. I was sitting, thinking to myself, the guys haven't really talked to me much today. I was bored and remembered that in Aunt Lizzy’s letter she said I have a brother, and when we both halve our necklaces on we’ll be able to contact each other through dreams.

'Is it true, that I have a brother?' I ask them, knowing that we have been over this a lot over the past two years.

'Yes, it is' replied Mason

'What about contacting him through dreams?' i ask

'Yes, when you can clear your mind and sleep, you will enter the dream space' Eli said

'And where have you guys been all day?' i ask

'Practicing so that when you need our skills to train they will be perfect.' Killen said

'Train??' i say

'Yes, when you sleep and enter dream space if your brother has his necklace on you will be able to speak to each other, but will also be able to see us in our form, and we will train every night.' Aaron told me

'So I will be able to see your guy’s forms, and where to train, in something called dream space.'

'Correct says Greyson

'Cool, but can we hold off on the training until we have somewhere to rest'

After our talk, I look out the window, at all the passing by sensory and let my mind wander. After 9 hours on the train, the train stops. Where. When I get off the train I head to the information center. When I get there I say to the lady “Excuse me miss, but do you have a phone I could borrow?” she looks at me and says “of course here you go.” and hands me the phone. I call Rosie and tell her that I got here ok
