"Now, what?" I asked. I was sitting on a couch, arms crossed, while he was busy doing something on his bar counter. "Don't even try to put something on my drink," I added.
He chuckled as he walked to me and handed me a glass of...
"It's just wine." He reassured. "I didn't put anything on that. I'm harmless." He sat next to me.
I put the glass closer to my nose and smelled it. "I get it, you plan to get me drunk and r**e me."
He laughed at that. "No, lady. I don't force women to get under the sheet with me. If something ever happened to us, I'm pretty sure both of us liked it."
I looked at him with a 'wow' look on his face. He was so full of himself.
"So, why are you here?" He asked.
I leaned against the couch. "You brought me here, douche."
"Right. Why are you here in Manila?" He asked again.
"I thought you knew everything," I said.
He bit his lower lip and sat properly as he placed his glass of wine on the center table. "Hey, did you really believe that?"
I c****d him a brow.
"I was just fooling around." He chuckled. "I really didn't know you. I thought you realized you wanted to be with me for the night so you tagged along."
For the second time tonight, I looked at him with my jaw dropped. That was so accurate for a hunch.
"What an a**hole." I scoffed as I handed him back the glass of wine and stood up.
He put it to the center table and grabbed my arm. "Hey, wait. Do you really have a twin sister?"
I looked at him over my shoulder.
He let go of my arm and bit his lower lip. "I'm sorry."
I ignored him and walked to the door but he followed me and blocked my way. "Look, I had this bet with my friends when we saw you at the bar and I only happened to hear about you from my friend. He owned the bar and he told me that some of the guys in there knew you and they told him about you having different names." He explained.
I just looked at him coldly.
"I'm sorry. We had this bet that if I don't get to take you here in my condo..." He held his jaw. "I'll lose the car my mom gave me as a birthday gift. You just need to stay with me for the night."
"What a childish bet." I scoffed. "You can just a buy a new one."
"I may look like an a**hole but gifts from my family matter a lot to me." He said.
I smirked. "You shouldn't have used it for a bet then,"
"My friends picked it. They knew I would desperately win this bet because of it." He was soft, I wanted to believe in him but I did not.
I walked back to the couch and slouched. For a moment, I realized that I could take the chance to avoid my dominant father.
"And if you win?" I asked.
He excitedly walked back to the couch and sat next to me. "3 months free services in After Six, with a plus one."
I scoffed. "Are you broke? I could pay that 3 months of free services for you if you would ask me."
He gaped at me. "Are you that wealthy?" He shook his head in amusement. "Well, lady. The services in After Six cost a fortune. I could actually buy a town house in Tagaytay with the money I've spent there for a single night."
I nodded. "Then why not buy a town house in Tagaytay instead of going there?"
He chuckled cutely. "The girls would miss me."
He was so full of himself.
I shook my head at him.
"So, I just need to stay here for the night for you to win that?" I asked.
He nodded. "Yes, and you can be my plus one as a thank you, for helping me out."
I sneered.
"So," He handed me the glass of wine again. "Cheers." He winked.
I gave him a bored look as we had a toast.
"Let's play a game." He said as he walked to the bar counter and came back with a bottle of tequila.
"Up for another bet to lose?"
He laughed. "Not this time. Let's play Never Have I Ever."
I knew that game.
"Okay." I agreed.
"I'll go first." He said excitedly.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"Never have I ever...slept with a woman who's 20 years older than me."
I gaped. "That's gross."
"Really?" He laughed as he took a drink. "Well, she was hot for a 40-year-old."
"You did?" I gaped. What a p*rvert.
"Your turn." He winked.
"Never have I ever...done skinny dipping." I smirked.
He laughed. "We should go skinny dipping together." He held my hand that was holding a glass of tequila to have a toast. I was immobilized when our skin touched but I shrugged it off.
I scoffed as I took a drink.
"Never have I ever...had s*xy time in a public place." He grinned.
I rolled my eyes. "Why does it always have to do something with s*x?"
He laughed as he took a drink.
I covered my mouth. "You're really gross."
He laughed even harder this time. "It was in a parking lot—"
"Don't you dare tell me the details, it's gross." I cut him off. "Never have I ever...had a friend with benefits."
He smiled. "I've never had s*x with a friend before."
I nodded and took the drink.
"Oh." He teased me. "How did it go?"
I scoffed. "Just kissing. Nothing serious."
"And you were friends?" He asked.
"Well, we dated eventually."
"He started enjoying the benefits before asking you out officially. He's a jerk." He smirked.
"How can you say so?" I asked curiously.
"Well, if he likes you, he can just ask you out right away. Making you a friend while savoring every inch of you is not a trait of a good man." He said.
"You do the same." I said.
He leaned closer to me. "We're different. I sleep with girls without giving them even the slightest hope that I will date them."
"That's cruel," I commented.
"Cruel is disrespecting boundaries." He said. "Friends should stay as friends. They are family. In fact, I have sisters. I would not dare hurt a girl."
I looked at him.
"I only sleep with the girls who are just as bored as I am. Girls with strong personalities and would not bother have feelings for me." He chuckled lightly.
I stayed silent. It was like hearing a man talk.
I smirked at the back of my head.
Those were the same words I've heard from that one guy who ended up being like...the rest.
