Chapter 5: Her Boyfriend

"If there's one thing that you wish to do in this lifetime, what is it?" The douche asked after telling me stories about his childhood—where he was always being reprimanded for hitting on girls at an early age. I glanced at the wall clock and it was already 12am. This douche doesn't have plans on sleeping, I guess. "Well," I heaved a sigh as I leaned my head against the couch and started thinking of something that I wished to do in this lifetime. "If you really wanted it, you wouldn't even have to think." He chuckled. "Go back." I mumbled. "Go back to Cebu?" He laughed. I rolled my eyes as I ignored his comment. "I wished to go back," I sighed. "Where exactly?" He asked as he learned closer to me. "Move your face away from me." I snapped. He laughed as he moved back to his seat. "Okay, feisty. So, tell me." I sighed. "Where should I sleep?" I stood up but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back to my seat. "Hey!" "Tell me," He said. "Who knows... I might have the power to take you there." "Are you ready?" "Darling?" Hillary snapped her fingers. "Uh, what?" I asked as I pulled myself from my train of thoughts. "You were spacing out." She asked worriedly. I held my temple. "Don't get me started." I turned my head to my side and then I turned to her again when I realized she could be helpful. "Hillary, I have a question." "Mmm. What is it?" She smiled. I chewed my bottom lip before asking. "Does Honey love Ethan?" She tapped the steering wheel before she answered me. "Love is an understatement." I shook my head. "How can you be so sure?" I asked again. She smiled. "I saw it." "And how about Ethan?" I asked again. "They are both madly in love." She giggled. "If that's true, why didn't she tell him about the situation?" I said. "No, Darling. Ethan's not just an ordinary guy. So, be careful." Hillary suddenly became serious. Now, she's got my attention. "What do you mean?" "Sunfords are also the wealthiest and the strongest in the Underground World." "I don't really get what you say, Hillary." I shook my head. "Ethan's in Mafia." She said in a low voice. I looked at her. "Does that make sense?" "And his family is the most dangerous group in the Underground World. They are more powerful than your father's." I smirked. That douche doesn't look like he can pull a trigger. "You're saying they are the strongest, therefore they can protect Honey, right?" I asked. "Honey didn't want him to know and your father was against it too." Hillary said. She was so firmed about what she was saying. "If Ethan was really into Honey, he would protect her no matter what." I insisted. Something was off and I could feel it. "Let us handle this." She held my hand. "No. You put me in this situation. Therefore, I will be the one to handle this." I said firmly. "Ethan should know so he could do something." "Darling, no. Things would be very complicated." She protested. "How so?" I furrowed. "Then ask Honey to tell Ethan everything. I can do all things but not what they do, Hillary." I said dismissively. She stopped and then she laughed like a total psycho. "So, this is what it's all about. Come on, Darling. It's just a guy." "You don't understand." I protested. I waited for her to tell me more but she just smiled. "Are you ready?" She asked again when she stopped the car at the parking lot of...Honey's prestigious school. Hillary trained me for three weeks and for that short period of time I could say that she knew Honey very well. She was undeniably too patient with me too. I heaved a sigh. "I got this." She smiled. "Just always be reminded of everything I told you. You can do this," She pinched my hand. "Honey." And for three weeks, I've been wondering what she is to our family, especially to my father, but I would worry about that later. As far as I remember, she was just my father's colleague but now that I am here, I could see that a lot of things have changed. For now, I need to focus on this mission. "Good morning, Honey." A small girl greeted me. I was making my way to Honey's first class. I would have ignored the girl who greeted me but I remembered what Hillary said. 'Honey is sweet to everyone.' So, even if it was against my principles. I greeted her back. "Hi." I said with a smile. I continued walking, smiling at everyone who greets me. This is annoying. I used to walk on the school hallway not giving a d*mn about anyone around me. "Honey?" I froze on my stand when I heard that familiar voice. It was like everything else was muted and all I could hear was that guy who was calling out my sister's name. I turned to his direction and there I saw him. The dashing Ethan Sunford. He welcomed me with a bright smile on his face. I stayed on my stand as I watched him make his way to me. Everyone around was looking at us as if we were some love team on a TV series. I looked at Ethan who was smiling brightly. He was so fine. How could someone look so good just by walking? "Hi, Honey." He greeted as he stood right in front of me. I just looked at him and what happened when we were in his condo flashed before my eyes. And then I realized, what if he got to realize that the girl whom he took to her condo actually looked like his girlfriend? Oh, God. I guess this will be the hardest part.
