Astonishing Transformation

“Anna, are you sure this is right? My scalp not feeling well.” Aoife says to the female SA, trying to touch her scalp. Her messy red hair is now styled into an elegant updo with hair essence. It feels heavy with all the accessories, something she's not used to. Anna sprays some mousse and admires her work like an artist. “Aoife, you look amazing. You're not a doll in a window, you're a Valkyrie.” “This dress is from a designer who loves using metal and leather. Women without muscles can't fit it right.” Aoife looks at herself in the mirror. Her eyebrows are clean and sharp, and her lipstick is a deep red. She looks fierce, like a proud Valkyrie. She is happy with this look. The dress is flexible, allowing her to hide a small weapon on her thigh, ready to protect her boss if anything happened. Anna opens the dressing room door, excited to show her today’s masterpiece. Aoife shakes her head, finding her hair remains perfect. With full of confidence, she walks out to meet Theodore in the thick heels. Theodore, lounging on a low sofa, watches her. His heartbeat stooped for a millisecond, too quick to realize. This Aoife is not the rough girl he saw in the morning. She is now different, her long dress enhancing her athletic figure. She looks like a leopard from the wild—captivating and dangerous. Her dress is stunning and perfectly fit her, but it's clearly not suitable for a family dinner. While Aoife was changing, the manager knew that that Aoife is the fiancée of the Winslow heir. However, Theodore, known as Theodore Montgomery in public, had kept his connection to the Winslow family discreet. The manager respects Aoife's taste but questions her choose, fearing she'll be mocked at the family’s event. Aoife knows nothing about this hidden fashion rules, raises an eyebrow to the manager. “I think this dress is perfect. I’ll wear it tonight.” The manager hesitates. “Ma’am, you’re pretty, but this dress is not the right attire for a family dinner. It might be better for a Halloween party I guess.” The manager has tried his best to choose the words carefully today. Anna immediantely knows what he means, and her look no longer be proud of herself’s work today. She assumed Theodore brought Aoife to shop for fun, never know that Aoife is need a dress for an important event tonight. A glance to a fluffy outfit, Aoife says, “For Halloween, I’d wear this. You’re right, it’s coming up, and I need a new outfit for it.” Her mission today is to shop. Theodore encourages her, “You can buy whatever you want, Aoife.” Aoife then moves to the jewelry display, admiring a gaudy diamond necklace. “This is beautiful. It’s smaller than the one I transported, but it’s more dazzling.” “But it costs $120,000…” “Wrap up the entire set.” Said Theodore Anna prepares to pack the necklace, but Aoife stops her. “I would like to wear it now. It goes well with the dress.” This is a bad idea. The dress is already flashy with its leather and metal element. Adding a huge diamond necklace would be too much. Aoife smiles. “It’s fine. My fiancé says his family is welcoming and embraces every different personality.” The manager almost sweats. The Winslow family is anything but easygoing. Serving those picky old-money families is his most challenging job, especially the ladies who will be Aoife’s sisters-in-law. Theodore is amused by the manager’s reaction, he also anticipating his family’s reaction. He admires Aoife’s wild spirit, which will unsettle the elite. “You look good. I can’t wait for you to meet my family,” he says, his tone is deep and soft, would be perfect for reciting a love poem. Aoife is delighted from his praise. His deep blue eyes are enchanting, like an inescapable whirlpool. “Thank you, Theodore,” she says, calling him by his name for the first time, like a real fiancée, staring at him with her shining eyes and a very lady smile. Theodore’s pupils tremble slightly. For the first time he feels like being caught off guard. He changes the topic. “I’ve told my assistant to bring the car around. As my fiancée, you are not the person who’s driving tonight.”
