When my eyes opened and finally adjusted, I noticed that the morning sun hadn’t risen yet, it was still twilight. I knew that Graham would be along shortly to come fetch me for our journey home. I was still surprised that it had to come to this, but I knew that deep down that I was done, I was mentally checked out. I was done with family, this clan, and this place.
