Serah suddenly woke up from her slumber her body alert and in defense mode. The few hours of sleep did good to her as she regain enough strength to run incase she needed to. She stood up slowly and squint her eyes as if it will help her see better in the dark. It was quiet at first when she heard a rustling of leaves, startled and her heart began to beat faster and louder that her ears can almost hear. She turn her attention to the source as she prepare herself to run any seconds.
It didn't take long when a big mass of unknown creature jump on her way, which made her run like she never did before her life depending on it. She made a sprint as fast as she could her lungs running out of oxygen but remain on doing so. She can't hear anything other than her heart pounding wildly in her ears. But when she heard a deep growl behind her she didn't look back to know how dangerous it was and how dead she was when it reach her. She became even more terrified than she's ever been and started to cry out loudly. A desperate help leaves her mouth, but no matter how hard she try no one is coming for her. For no man has ever live into the deep forest.
She made a loud yelp when she was knocked over and roll on the ground. Obtaining several wounds and almost loosing her conscious. She cried out as fear clouded her being as she watch not one but two creatures behind her, growling, biting, fighting with each other. She still can't name the two but she quickly gain her bearings like an adrenaline rush completely ignoring the wounds she attain. She stood up dragging her feet, determine to live and escape her horrible fate.
The longer she run the more tired and helpless she gets. The pain in her wounds now throbbing, her body felt like it's on fire. Her breath are running short she felt like she would past out any minute. Her once hope of living rapidly drifting away. 'Maybe I'm wrong, it's delusional of me to think that there is still tomorrow. I'll probably die tonight without seeing my love ones for the last time.' she thought.
No longer can bear the pain and when she thought she's far enough, she halt and lean on a nearby tree cathing her breath. Her tears sheds nonstop as she weep quietly. At that moment all her memories with her parents and friends, all the good times came crashing down like a flashback. The fun times when her dad jokes around during breakfast, the midnight snack while watching their favorite tv show, the daily trip to Starbucks with her friends after class, or when they try to set each other on blind dates and many more.
She was brought back to present when she heard a soft snap of twigs behind her. Her heart started beating faster dread written all over her face. Gaining her courage she slowly turn around facing her fate. She gasp her eyes wide seeing what's infront of her. Never in her life that she would encounter such a thing.
A huge black wolf with yellow eyes stood not far from her. It's slowly walking dangerously towards her while she too took a step back. It growled at her threatening her not to make any move. But she did, aggravating the wolf even more. She was frightened as it drew closer to her. In her mind she made her final goodbye and I love you to her parents.
Because what she did next was the second biggest mistake she's ever done in her life. She turn hastily and run, this time she knows for sure she will be caught finally ending her life.
