Daniel was outraged. Back in his chambers, he reflected on what had just happened. He realized his outburst in the court probably wasn’t his finest moment, but it wasn’t his way to blame himself for his actions. Instead, he attributed his shameful display on the magistrate who had openly defied his authority when he told him to lock them all up! This type of attitude could not be seen to go unpunished lest it spread … he would make sure that the people knew when he gave a command, it would be in their best interest to heed it! He had his ideas on how to deal with the magistrate, but right now, he had to deal with the fact that his plan to derail Kyata and belittle his sister had backfired. He would also have to let the Curia know that he had no grounds to stop Kyata from expanding.
