When Hugh, Judi, and Kenneth arrived in Sdel, they made their way to The Huntress Inn, where James had already reserved rooms. Since it was nearing the mid-day meal, they took their bags to their rooms and then joined James in the dining room.
As soon as they had finished their meal, James invited the trio back to his room. “It’s good to see you all again. I hope things went well for you in Cowson,” James said, looking at all three of them but finishing up with his gaze fixed on Judi.
“Yes, things went better than I expected,” Judi replied with a small smile.
“Did you know that Judi is a princess?” Kenneth blurted out.
James was visibly surprised. “Really?” he asked questioningly, with a smile on his face.
