Later in the afternoon, the queen again sent her private carriage back to the doctor’s office. Hugh asked to go with it to be there for Kenneth.
When Hugh arrived at the medical facility, he was pleased to see Kenneth sitting up, alert, and chatting with the nurse on duty. When Kenneth saw Hugh, he jumped down from the edge of the bed where he had been sitting and went straight over to his friend. He was definitely anxious to go home.
