TELL ME TO STOP!!

CHAPTER 33 KAI'S POV “I guess that would be nice.” The words came out steady. They weren’t. He grabbed two glasses and a bottle of wine from the car. Turned back with that small, careful smile. It made it worse. How was I supposed to tell him? _Melbourne. Jan 15. I’m leaving._ Without shattering him. Without shattering us. We stayed by the lake. Drank in silence. For a few minutes, I forgot about Australia. About the email glowing on my bed. About Friday. It was just Adrian. And me. And the water reflecting the city lights. He drove me home. I’m terrible with wine. Not drunk. Just… soft. Loose at the edges. The whole ride he kept glancing at me. Like he could see every thought I was hiding. At my door, I panicked. “Want to come in?” It came out like a joke. Like I wasn’t terrified he’d say yes. Or no. He didn’t smile. He just stared. Took one step forward. And my whole body reacted before my brain could catch up. “A— Adrian—” I didn’t get to finish. His mouth was on mine. His arms pulled me in like he’d been holding himself back for years and finally snapped. For one second I froze. Then I answered. Because I’d been waiting for him to. Because I wanted this. He pulled back. Breathed hard. Forehead pressed to mine, eyes still closed. “Tell me to stop, Kai. Please.” His voice was wrecked. “I can’t… I can’t stop myself like this. Just say stop.” His hands came up to my face. Gentle. Shaking. I was supposed to push him away. I was supposed to remind him we were friends. I was supposed to be scared. I kissed him again. I wasn’t scared. I wasn’t angry. I didn’t regret it. He kissed me back. Then he lifted me. My arms went around his neck on instinct. My legs around his waist. He carried me to the bed and laid me down slow, like I might break. “This is your last chance, Kai,” he whispered against my lips. His voice shook. “Please tell me to stop.” I looked at him. Really looked. CEO control gone. Just Adrian. Bare and scared and wanting me just as much. “I want you, Adrian,” I said. “And I mean it.” It was like those words snapped the last thread he was holding onto. His hands came to my face first. Then my hair. Kissing me like he’d been waiting two years to say everything he couldn’t with words. We moved together, jacket and shirt coming off, my gown slipping. Nothing rushed. Nothing careless. Just two people who kept choosing silence over truth, finally choosing this instead. The room went quiet except for our breathing. And for the first that day, I wasn’t thinking about Melbourne. I was just here. With him. “Are you ready?” He asked as he placed a soft kiss on my face. I nodded, I was nervous but sure. Because I'm so sure that I will not regret what we are about to do. My eyes were wide open. Waiting for him. No CEO mask between us. No “always” promises. Just Adrian being extra gentle and careful. Just when he came in between my legs. I stopped him nervously. I didn't stop him because I didn't want him but because I was a little scared and nervous, I haven't go this intimate with anyone before. “Emm... Adrian... This... Is my first time” I said nervously. The words hit him, he froze. Completely. Hands still at my waist, but not moving. Not pushing. Not taking. “Don’t worry I will be gentle... If you think you can't take it then tell me I will stop okay,” he said. Voice low. Steady. Like I need steady right now. He brush his thumb over my cheek. Wipe away nothing. Just touch. Just reassurance. “Kai, look at me,” he whisper. I did. “We don’t have to do anything you’re not 100% sure about.” I swallows. Nods again, smaller this time. But my hands tighten in my shirt. Not pulling away. Holding on. Like if I did I would regret giving up this opportunity. “I’m sure,” I whispered. “I want this. I want you. Just… be gentle.” He nodded. But his eyes still hold restrictions. He lean in and kiss my forehead. Then her nose. Then her lips. Slow. No rush. No CEO decisions. Just us. He was so gentle Like I'm some glass that might break any second. Like he was memorizing me. Like I might break. “Then I’m gentle,” he promised against my mouth. “And I’m here. Every second. If you say stop, we stop. If you say wait, we wait. Okay?” “Okay,” I breathes back. Like I was waiting for him to say those words to me. The city is quiet outside. Morning light on the walls. Everything else can wait. Slowly He went in. No rush like he was afraid that he would hurt me. My grip on him tightened... But I did not ask him to stop. Because I don't want him to stop, he can't stop now. "Adrian!!" I moan the moment he was fully inside. "it's going to hurt for a moment but it will fade soon, okay" he said kissing my tears away before he started moving. His actions and gentle words made me release the tears in my eyes. How can he be good in everything he does. He treats me like I'm some egg that might break any second. He stop when he felt my body tensed up. His hands come up to my face. “Kai. Breathe with me. We can stop. Right now. No questions.” I shakes my head immediately. My eyes were on him even though they were a little blur from tears. But I didn't ask him to stop. My grip on him tightens instead. “Kai?” he whisper. At that moment my name sounds different. He was giving me every chance to pull back, but I refuse to take it. Not now. I nods against him. Small. Sure. “I’m okay. Just… stay with me.” It was slow. Careful. He checked on me with his eyes, with his hands, with his voice. When it hurt, he stopped. Breathed with me. Kissed my tears away. When I nodded, he stayed. Close. Present. And I didn’t want him to stop. I just wanted him to stay with me. The room was still. Only the sound of our breathing. And the city humming far below. Adrian didn’t let go. Forehead still against mine. His hand stayed on my face like he was making sure I was real. “Okay?” he whispered. I nodded against him. “Okay.” My voice was small. But I meant it. He pulled back just enough to see me. Eyes searching. Checking. Then he brushed my hair back and kissed my forehead. Slow. Like he was grounding both of us. Just like that I drift off to sleep in his arms like I was in my safe heaven. Tomorrow can wait. Australia can wait. I just want to live in this moment and deal with the consequences after. TBC
