Three months had passed since I started managing my company. Every day felt like a new challenge, but I was growing into my role. The team respected me, clients were happy with our work, and I was finally starting to believe I deserved all of this.
Damien never hovered, but he was always there when I needed advice. “You’re doing amazing, baby girl,” he would say every evening when I came home. “I knew you had it in you.”
