“Have you called him?” Dale asked. “No. I don’t know how to reach him.” “Good.” “Good, why?” she asked warily, seeing the strangest light in Dale’s eyes. “Good, because you’re going to go to your Friday session just as you always have.” “I am?” “Yes, you are.” “But why?” Her eyes widened in shock. “I’m going with you,” he said. She shook her head in shock. “Oh, no. You can’t!” “I’m dead serious. What time do you go?” “I usually meet him at three,” she said. “Then, I’ll pick you up at two-thirty. Prepare yourself exactly as you would any other day.” “There are no preparations. I just go,” she said, still so astounded by the whole idea that she could hardly respond. “That’s fine. Then, I’ll see you Friday,” he said, and he moved toward the door. “That’s all?” she implored him
