I couldn't help my mind wandering back to the moment we had shared a second ago. I have never seen a person being introduced to our world who was so calm about it. I suppose that's what made her extremely different from others.

"Well, I'm gonna go home now and ponder on my life's existence." Athena said jokingly, but the tint in her eyes seemed to tell me that there was a fraction of her statement that was true. This ultimately made me feel awful and want to pull her in a hug. But before I could she had already began walking away and I didn't want to push my luck with running after her, judging by Kamils expression, he felt the same way.

I shook my head in disappointment and aggravation as I began to walk away.

"Wait! Where are you going!"

Kamil demanded

I turned around ready to completely loose it until I remembered what my father told me many times before he died

"Xī qì hū qì" he would calmly advise

I never understood what he was saying until I became a bit older and he explained to me how he had a friend who was in the war that was at one point based in China, now being based there he picked up many parts of the language and would tell my father all about it when he was away on leave. It just happened that Xī qì hū qì was the main thing that stuck to my fathers memory, this Chinese statement means, "inhale, exhale" and he told me the reason why it stuck with him so greatly was because,

" If you say something to calm yourself down in your main language, it does not have as great of an effect on your psyche as saying it in a foreign language does" he would explain

So I said this to myself remembering my father and his army buddy who it had worked so greatly for, and it worked. I calmly walked toward Kamil and placed both my hands on the sides of arms, subconsciously wanting to in the moment absolutely crush him, and I leaned in near his face and said

"You were a total f*****g i***t and completely deserve the discrete form of punishment that is coming your way" I whispered calmly and continued on with a greater distance between our faces

"You broke the agreement and now will pay the direct or even indirect consequence, am I clear?"

I insisted, cleared my throat and he let go of my shoulders walking away in the process.

After I knew that Tarius was completely gone I made my way into my family's living room and sat down next to my sister who was on her phone doing God knows what. She looked up at me

"You're a real f*****g idoit aren't you." She taunted flatly. I rolled my eyes in response and defended

"Well big sis, I learned from the best"

She punched my arm and retorted

"You must have been looking in the mirror then."

I buried my face in my hands and groaned loudly

"Kill me please, at least you can do it quickly and I won't be tortured"

I whined to my sister as she put her phone down and then said

"To even think about why you would do such an insane thing is baffling to my mind at first..."

I cut her off snapping

"I know all right I'm already getting crap from everyone else, I dont need it from you too!"

She exhaled and folded her hands together, managing to gather herself and continue,

"If you would have let me finish you would know that what I was going to say was To even think about why you would do such an insane thing is baffling to my mind at first...but, when I met the girl you brought here today and saw how you acted with her it has become obvious to me that she is your mate, so the stupidity that you have been carrying out at least is explainable"

My head snapped up, I couldn't believe it,

"You knew!"

I exclaimed flabbergasted and she stood up from her chair and said

"Of course I knew, I'm your older sister"

Before rolling her eyes, ruffling my hair and leaving the room. I sat for a moment pondering on what my sister said before coming to a final conclusion, I had to talk to Athena, I know I probably should just give her time to adjust to this new information, but I needed to see her and explain a little more.

On the walk home, everything seemed to hit me at once and I couldn't believe it. How on earth do these things exist? One minute I was looking at the Tarius that I knew and the next second there was a deer in front of me! Not to mention Kamil, I can't even begin to comprehend that werewolves exist, but when I reached my home I saw that my mother wasn't home, I punched in my code to go inside and asked my smart home device to ay my playlist so I could clear my head. I heard about 2 songs before my doorbell had rang, so I stop my music and answer my door only to not see anyone there, that was until he came out from the blindspot of my front entrance. It must be a nightmare, he couldn't have found me, especially not this quickly, I launched my hand forward aiming to lock the screen door that was separating us, but he opened the door quicker than I was able to lock it. I jumped back and stammered

"Wha-why are you here?"

He smiled that psychotic grin and stepped closer to me

"Now why wouldn't I show up to visit my daughter."

He snarled. I shuddered and tears started streaming down my face.

"Pl-please g-g-go"

I choked out between sobs. His smile widened and he went to grab my arm but I dodged him, running into my room and locking the door. I then wedged a chair under the knob and searched my room frantically trying to find my phone, but I then remembered that I had left it on the sofa. Opening my shades and window I looked down and realized that there was no way i could jump out of it without breaking a bone or being impaled by a blueberry bush so, I began tieing my clothing together while listening to him banging on my door and slamming into it, trying intensely hard to hold back tears, I dont have time to be upset, i need to get out, but then I heard a familiar voice.

"What the f**k!"

Kamil's voice bellowed through my home before I heard my father grunt, and then insistent knocking on my door. I walked up to it and put my hand on the knob, whispering softly

"Kamil?"

"Yeah it's me Athena, please let me in, he won't hurt you, I'm here."

I opened the door cautiously, tears continuously running down my face no matter how hard I try to stop them. Once the door is finally opened completely, Kamil comes closer to me and wraps me up in a tight protective hug and allows me to continue to cry on his shoulder for a while.

After a bit I at last stopped crying and lifted my head up to look at him only to see Kamil's face tense and jaw clenched. So, without thinking I lifted my hand to his cheek. He automatically looked down at me with a soft gaze and his jaw released its tension, embarrassed of my actions I lowered my head and pulled away my hand, but as soon as I did he gently placed his hand underneath my chin and lifted my head so that I was looking at him.

"You are the most beautiful, understanding, and kind woman I know"

Kamil uttered quietly and leaned ever so slightly down to me, and I know that I shouldn't but close my eyes tilting my head up more and closing the small distance between us.
