The cursed mates

Alecias POV

I feel my bones start to snap and realign and the pain is excruciating. As I look up I see the lights come to life and start to dance across the sky. The colors look more vibrant then they have before. I can’t appreciate the beauty of the lights as the pain continues. I feel my skin roll and stretch to the point I think it’s going to tear in half. I feel fur sprout all over my body. I look down and see white fur all over my paws and legs. I did it in a wolf. I walk out from behind my tree and see my brothers wolf Isaac standing there waiting. Isaac comes over and sniffs me to see if I’m ok. I nuzzle him and let out my first howl. As my brother and I take off on my first run everything is different. I can see for miles and hear everything from a bunny hopping to the dear eating. It’s amazing. After about 2 hours of running my brother and I start to head back to our house. When I catch the most mouth watering smell. It smells of fresh honey and woods. Angle howled “mate”. No, no, no, I do not have a mate here I’m leaving in 10 months. I pushed against my wolf and the urge to run after the smell. I ran as fast as I could back to my house. I shifted as fast as I could even though it hurt but less then the first time. I got dressed in record time and flew into the house. I ran up the stairs and into my room locking the door behind me as if that could lock everything out including the smell. My brother knocked on my door after trying to open it realizing I had locked it.

“Al what’s wrong are you ok? Talk to me please.”

I could hear the worry and concern in My brothers voice but I couldn’t bring myself to open the door and face him. Not after he watched me run like something was chasing me. I could feel how sad angle was and hear her whimpering. I fell asleep and had dreams of running through the woods and being chased by a dark figure. When I woke up I was drenched in sweat and panting. I took a cold shower to try to calm my racing heart and thoughts. I got dressed in My favorite pair of faded jeans and a t-shirt. When I went downstairs my brother had already made breakfast. The smell of bacon and fresh fruit made my mouth water. I sat down at the counter and started eating like I have never eaten in my life.

“Al can we please talk about what happened last night your really worrying me?”

I slowly looked up at my brother and saw the worry lines in his face.

“Ian I can’t talk about it because if I do it makes it real and I don’t want it to be real.”

“ come on Al I’m your brother you can talk to me and I’ll help you in any way I can”

I couldn’t tell him because I saw him everyday waiting for his mate and wanting her so bad that he was taking every female in the pack out. He wouldn’t understand.

“ I appreciate it but you wouldn’t understand Ian please just let me work through it alone.”

“ fine, but Al if you can’t fix it and your still looking like this in a week you will tell me got it.”

“ yeah ok I got it”

“ I love you Al”

“ I love you too big bro”

Ian left shortly after breakfast to go deal with beta stuff. As the beta to the twins he had major responsibilities. I watched some tv and stayed home. I didn’t have any friends and since my brother and dad were out there was nothing to do. I went out to the forest to see if angle was up for another run. She happily agreed. The shift was a lot easier this time and didn’t hurt as bad.

“ it won’t hurt after a while it’ll just be like breathing.”

Angle said in my head. I knew she was right cause this time was a lot less painful then the first time. As we ran through the woods something moved out of the corner of my eye. It was light colored and moved so fast I barely saw it. Before I knew it I was tackled and pinned under a big sandy wolf with the lighted blue eyes. Then the smell hit me. I honey and woods. s**t.

“Mate”

Came a low growl out of the wolf on top of me. Double s**t. My wolf did a happy dance and layed on her back looking like a puppy.

“Mate”

The wolf growled again. I used every ounce of strength I had and moved out from under the wolf and stared at him when out of no where I got tackled again.

“Mate”

Shit s**t s**t. There were two sandy wolves calling me their mate now and that’s when realization hit. These are the twin alphas. I’m their mate. They are my mate. s**t. Again I used every ounce of strength and pushed out from underneath the second one. They both stared at me. I didn’t even think I just ran. I knew I wasn’t faster then the alphas but I was small and agile and I could use that to my advantage. I weaved through the trees sliding under logs and running like my life depended on it. I knew it did because if I let them touch me or I smelled that sweet scent I wouldn’t make it to the stars pack. By the time I made it back to my house I didn’t even bother with my clothes I just shifted and ran straight in the house locking the door behind me. I barely made it before I heard Ryan and Ethan pounding on the door.

“Come on Alecia let us in your our mate.”

“No!” I screamed running up the stairs to my room and locking the door behind me.
