Lincoln stared at me, effectively making me notice that he wasn't in favor of my idea before heaving a long sigh. “Baby, you know that I love you... but your plan? Do you really want to do this?”
Annoyed, I quirked my brow. “Would I switch roles with Alena if I’m not?”
“But baby, it’s your family.” Lincoln shot a quick glance at my mother inside the coffee shop before looking back at me. “I don’t know, but it seemed to me that they had been struggling already since they were wearing tattered clothes. I’m not being judgemental, I was just stating facts. However, struggling or not, you shouldn't do that to others, baby. It’s not... justifiable.”
I couldn’t help but crack my lips into a disbelieving smile. “So, you are saying that killing those people is justifiable then?”
