I felt my mother look at me so I immediately wiped the tears that formed in my eyes. I acted like it was nothing when she even checked at me while carrying the roasted suckling pig toward the table. As she laid the food on the table, she kept on glancing at me until she got occupied with preparing the plates. I thought that I was spare with the coming prying, not until Estes gripped my hand and that made me gaze down. Oh, Goddess...
