I am thrilled and it's not just because I didn't get sold to King Draco. Somehow it feels like my life should have more hope now that my owner is the kingdom's alpha Queen. It's also scary though. She doesn't look remorseful even after executing her traitorous father. She isn't forgiving.
Her men let go of my arms and steps back as she approaches. I wish I could hug her without fearing her reaction. I deserve a little comforting considering what her plan just put me through.
