Over the next few weeks, Chand and Shenna found themselves eagerly awaiting their daily chats. Despite the miles between Dubai and Manila, they felt a growing closeness with each message exchanged. They talked about their lives, their dreams, and the little moments that made them who they were. Chand's apartment, Dubai Chand sat on his balcony, the warm evening breeze gently rustling the pages of his book. His phone buzzed with a new message, and he smiled when he saw it was from Shenna. Chand's bright smile lit up the room as he remembers Shenna, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Hi Shenna, how was your day?" He asked, his voice warm and friendly. Shenna's home, Manila Shenna lay on her couch, relaxing after a long day at the hospital. She looked at her phone, happy to see a message from Chand. Shenna's eyes sparkled with warmth as she replies to Chand, "Hi Chand! It was busy, as usual. But rewarding. How about yours?" Chand's eyes lit up with enthusiasm as he replied, his voice filled with a sense of accomplishment. "Pretty hectic too. We're closing a big deal, so there's a lot to manage. But I'm looking forward to our chat." He leaned in, his brow furrowed in concentration as he added, "I've been thinking about some things, and I'd love to bounce them off you." Shenna's smile grew wider as she nodded in agreement, "Me too. It's become a nice part of my day." She leaned back in her chair, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she added, "I always feel like I can talk to you about anything, and that it really makes a difference." Chand felt a warmth spread through him at her words. Chand's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he asked, "I was thinking about our conversation yesterday about traveling. What's your favorite place in the Philippines?" He leaned forward, as he waited eagerly for her response, his mind already wandering to the possibilities of meeting together. Shenna's face lit up with a warm smile as she considered the question. "That's a tough one," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia. "There are so many beautiful places here." She paused, collecting her thoughts before answering. "But if I had to choose, I'd say the beaches in Palawan. They're absolutely stunning." Her eyes sparkled with a memory of crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand, and she felt a sense of longing wash over her. Chand's eyes widened with excitement as he listened to Shenna's recommendation. "Palawan sounds incredible," he said, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "I've seen pictures, and it looks like paradise." He leaned forward, his hands clasped together in anticipation. "What do you love about it?" Shenna's eyes sparkled as she described her favorite destination. "The crystal-clear water, the vibrant marine life, and the tranquility," she said, her voice soothing like a gentle breeze. "It's like an escape from reality. You can completely unwind and forget all your worries." She paused, lost in thought, and then continued, her words flowing smoothly. "The beaches are so pristine, and the islands are so untouched that you feel like you're discovering a hidden gem. And the people, oh, the people are so warm and welcoming. It's like they're sharing a little piece of their own paradise with you." Chand's eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "That sounds amazing," he said, his voice filled with longing. "I'll have to visit someday." He leaned back in his chair, a faraway look in his eyes. "I can already imagine myself relaxing on the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin, and listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore." Shenna's smile broadened as she asked the question. "You definitely should. How about you? What's your favorite place in Dubai?" She leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with interest. Chand's eyes gleamed with nostalgia as he spoke. "Dubai is a city of contrasts," he said. "There's so much to love here. But my favorite place is probably the Dubai Desert. There's something magical about the vast, endless dunes and the serenity of the desert at sunset." He paused, lost in thought, reliving the memories of his time spent amidst the majestic dunes. Shenna's eyes lit up with curiosity as she asked, "That sounds beautiful. I've never been to a desert before. What do you enjoy doing there?" Chand's face broke into a warm smile as he replied, "I love going on desert safaris, riding over the dunes, and then watching the sunset. It's incredibly peaceful. And at night, the sky is filled with stars. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city." Shenna's eyes sparkled with excitement as she said, "I can only imagine. It sounds like a scene from a movie." Chand smiled, imagining sharing those experiences with Shenna someday. Chand's eyes crinkled at the corners as he said, "Maybe one day you can see it for yourself." Shenna's smile widened as she said, "I'd love that. And maybe I can show you around Palawan." Chand's face lit up with enthusiasm as he said, "That sounds like a perfect plan." As their conversations continued, they delved deeper into their personal lives and histories. Chand leaned in, curiosity getting the better of him, and asked, "So, tell me more about Daniel. What's he like?" Shenna's eyes sparkled with warmth as she said, "Daniel is my world. He's 15, and he's such a bright and kind-hearted boy. He loves basketball and is really good at it. He keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't have it any other way." Chand nodded sympathetically, his expression softening. "He sounds wonderful. It must be challenging balancing your work and being a single parent," he said, his voice filled with understanding. Shenna's eyes shone with a sense of determination. "It is, but it's also incredibly rewarding. He's my motivation to keep going, even on the toughest days," she said, her voice filled with a sense of gratitude and love. Chand's voice was filled with genuine admiration. "I admire your strength, Shenna. It's not easy doing what you do," he said with a deep understanding. Shenna's smile was warm and appreciative. "Thank you, Chand. That means a lot coming from you," she said, her voice softening. "Tell me about your family. Do you have any siblings?" she asked, leaning forward with genuine interest. Chand's expression turned wistful. "I'm an only child. My parents live in India. They're retired now and enjoy their quiet life there. We're close, though, and I visit them whenever I can," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of nostalgia. Shenna's eyes sparkled with amusement. "That's nice. Family is so important. Do they know about your... new online dating adventure?" she asked, her tone playful and curious. Chand laughed. Chand's smile faltered for a moment before he replied, "Not yet. I think they'll be pleasantly surprised. How about Pilar? Does she know how well things are going between us?" Shenna's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Oh, she knows everything. She's thrilled, of course. She's been my biggest cheerleader in all this." Chand's expression turned warm. "Sounds like she's a wonderful friend. I owe her a thank you for convincing you to give this a try." Shenna smiled. "And I owe Raj for doing the same for you." As the days turned into weeks, their bond deepened. They shared their dreams and aspirations, their fears and insecurities. Each message brought them closer, bridging the distance between their worlds. Chand's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What's one dream you've always had, Shenna?" Shenna's eyes shone with a sense of purpose. "I've always dreamed of opening a small clinic in a rural area here in the Philippines. Somewhere I can make a real difference and help those who don't have easy access to medical care." Chand's warm smile encouraged Shenna. "That's a beautiful dream, Shenna. I have no doubt you'll make it happen. You have the passion and the heart for it." Shenna's face lit up with gratitude. "Thank you, Chand. What about you? What's your dream?" Chand's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "I've always wanted to create a foundation to support education for underprivileged children. Education has the power to change lives, and I want to help make that possible for as many kids as I can." Shenna smiled warmly. "That's an amazing goal. I believe you'll achieve it." Their conversations were filled with warmth and genuine interest in each other’s lives. The more they talked, the more they realized how much they had in common, despite the physical distance and different backgrounds.
