Minimap And Model Of New Home

After we had lunch, I did not follow the men back to then back of the domain as Ben informed me that they would start to plot once they had walked the mile that Priest Earl had gouged on the land. Based on that, the would be able to meet the ½ mile junction once they had marked the mile and then the ½ half respectively. Once they had done so for both sides of the ½ mile junction, they would then be able to see how far the land had extended before them. They were delighted to find some adult wild boar which they managed to corner and chase them towards the bamboo barricades as they watched 3 adult boats impaled themselves helplessly on them. The men didn't carry any weapons with them but managed to scare those beasts until they got ensnared. With the help of some citizens, the carcasses were trussed up and carried to the courtyard where the butchering ensued. When I find out what the men had done I was ecstatic since I get to eat soft ribs braised in black pepper once again with lots of onions and baked potatoes and corn on the sides. Sir Blackie and the felines were clamouring at the area and half a lung was prepared as a treat for Sir Blackie and its companions. Heather, the twins and I were sitting at the two seater bamboo throne when some of the engineers came over, carrying a tarp covered something in their hands as they needed two person to carry them and also someone carrying a tray of some sort covered with yet another tarp. "Your Majesty, the minimap and the model of the house is ready. Could we set it in the courtyard so everyone can take a look at it? But first you need to evaluate and see if there's some adjustment that need to be done." The engineers were ecstatic as they carried the tarp covered minimap and also the model of the two storey house over. I motioned for a dining table and set it a distance away from the two seater bamboo throne and on the elevated platform instead. The 4 by 4 minimap of the whole of Gracehaven looked heavy and it had to be helped to set it up on the table while the model of the house which was under the tarp was mentioned to me that it looked like a dollhouse. "A dollhouse? For little girls? Haha. I like it. Maybe it suits for Amy when she grows up then." Heather and I was intrigued as we slowly helped to uncover the tarp for the 'dollhouse'. "We have two models, Your Majesty. But this would be the preferred model as it looks rather chic. The other one looked rather dull and as if two thatched houses were stacked on top of the other. Tell us what you think of it." The moment the tarp was uncovered, a two storey model of a half brick and half wooden house, complete with a chimney at its side, windows and two doors on the ground floor and a balcony on the second floor. There was a piece of wool that was fixed on the top of the chimney that looked like smoke. The roof was slanted and it was made from clay tiles that need not to have any additional glue or nails as it would interlock themselves when they were set. A few pieces of the clay tiles were set aside for demonstration purposes and true enough, when it was 'tiled' it interlocks and didn't budge. From the outlook, the engineers who made the model of the house painstaking took to details as though it would represent a real house meant for little people. The first level was made from clay bricks that were basically made from tiny clay bricks...! The second level was made from thin strips of wood to represent the wooden planks. There was even a list to state the number of materials used to construct the twonstotey model house. The windows were swinging types and its working too. Even the doors and the area balusters that made up the small balcony looked real. I was half expecting some figures to greet me if I were to knock on its door...! "I name this model the compact 2 storey house. There's a dining c*m living room, a kitchenette complete with the works, a T&B and a bedroom on the first floor. A stairs leading from side wall of the kitchen brings you to the second floor where there's two bedrooms, a conmon T&B and a small balcony where the top of the bedroom was." After going through the specifics, the roof was removed and from there we can see the layout of the two bedrooms with individual doors and had their own windows as well. An open doorway leads to a small balcony where the boy could wolf whistle at the passing girls nearby. I suppose... Hahaha...! There's a nice rail that leads up to the stairwell to prevent anyone from falling through the gap on the floor. The two bedrooms had a bed each and a small armoire. There's even a vanity table and a stool for the girl's room...! Two clay stick models of a boy and a girl were inside their individual room and it looked lifelike...! When the second floor was removed, we can see the kitchenette with a sink, rocket stove and the Standing Icebox in the corner complete with a small prep table at the side of the wall. A door at the end leads to a T&B complete with a commode and a vat. Of course, no clay model was inside the T&B doing its business...! A clay stick model was standing near the rocket stove with a cauldron on top, I suppose it meant that the lady of the house was cooking for the hungry children. In the dining room c*m living room, a square dining table with 2 benches to accomodate 4 people was set along with 2 arms chairs. There was a doorway from the dining room to the kitchen but there's a door that leads out from the kitchen to the backyard. Another door was made for the entry to the bedroom and there was a large bed with an armoire and vanity table. Guess this would be the master bedroom. Right next to the wall that separates the dining c*m living room and the master bedroom was a door that swings inside. There was a window for the dining area, a window for the master bedroom and a louver type window for the T&B. The T&B had some grills near the top to ventilate the smell out, I reckon. There was a clay stick model standing near the window of the dining area, waiting for dinner to be served and the chance to relax with his neighbours at the Gracehaven's Greasy Spoon, I am sure of it...! The clay stock models were lifelike. The interior of the design was also very lifelike. There were some greenery near the planting beds underneath the windows and a winding gravel path from the house. "Your Majesty, as for internal lighting, we could implement the incandescent lamps for each room. On this way the only source of heat comes from the kitchen rocket stove. The chimney was actually a hood that extends out to the side of the house and up above the rooftop." The engineer finished his explanation when I shot him a very serious question, "Can I request a model of this at least 2 to 3 times bigger so at least my twins can play with them complete with horses, wagons, carriages, dogs, cats, ducks, goats, chicken, cows..." I got carried away that I wanted to take the model and play with them myself first. Haha. I got reminded of Tanya and me that played with this all the time with Heather before.
